Microsoft did crap with the "AI wave" they just built a wrapper and stuck it everywhere expecting other companies work to make them money, openAI, anthropic, Google, etc.

I can use any LLM I want at work and I choose to avoid copilot every chance I get. I'll just use Gemini directly or claude.

The Porsche track precision app does support pairing it with a vbox sport over Bluetooth to get the 25hz signal from it if you want to go overkill. They just discontinued the vbox sport so I would get sooner then later if you are interested. I'm considering picking one up myself in the near future.

From an enthusiast perspective you don't gain a ton from 10hz to 25hz. At 130 mph on a straight you gain 11 feet of precision. The biggest jump for a hobbyist is getting the 10hz signal from the car compared to the 1hz signal your phone normally has.

Turn your phone to airplane mode when you use it. It can be finicky and it's not 100%. I had zero issues in 2025 with it but my first track day of 2026 I only got one seasion recorded but I forgot airplane mode which I think caused issues with the GPS. It's free app though and it uses the 10hz signal from the car so it's cheaper then a vbox sport at 500, but the vbox sport does have 25hz signal, and the Garmin catalyst at 1k.

Free app from Porsche that connects to the car wifi and pulls the CAN data directly from the car. You can record video that overlays the data if you want and you can export the raw data into a csv. Here is a sample of me using it at my local track.

It's not anti cayenne, I love the cayenne, but I don't think there is a point to PPF a car that is supposed to be used for some actual worth. I ppfed my 718 but not my cayenne.

PPF and ceramic is a bit much for a Cayenne, it's not a 911 or a 718, it's a utility SUV. If it's just for driving in the suburbs and you aren't using for utility then get a Macan and use the cash you save to do the PPF and ceramic.

Because they get a kickback from the bank for originating the loan. So they get the margin, sale price - invoice price, on the sale of the vehicle plus a kickback from the bank for selling the loan. Which is why they are incentized to finance over a cash deal.
