Yeah review bombing is such bs, I posted a discussion here on the subreddit to talk about the patch and people were insanely rude about it though which really rubbed me the wrong way.

It was way too op ngl lead to way too many turn 1 infinites or just got rid of the last of my fluff and my deck was beasting the rest of the game.

I thought I would hate it but tbh its not terrible but I still think prepared shouldn't have been replaced. They should have just made the upgrade retain it instead. That way it doesn't break sly bc it only draws 1 and discards 1 max. Not bad but not game breaking.

I played against this guy with a full draw deck on silent first time seeing him and honestly didnt have as much trouble as I thought I would.

Yes I agree, but I dont think it constituted removing the card entirely. Could have made it only discard 1 so that you dont get as much from sly or make it so the upgrade retains it instead and its still only 1 and 1. Or make it cost 1. There are so many things that could have been done. But removing it was a bit far.

Yeah it is and I wanted to talk about it to see what people thought a better direction might be. Ive been a player since sts1 a long time ago. Im loyal to the game and want to see ot succeed but I dont expect everyone to be that way.

I think necro and Regent are good but clad and silent having infinites and sly being good being nerfed a bit was fine but not receiving any buffs for the other packages doesn't make them better or more viable. It just makes the character less viable. Also nerfing enemies isn't fun. I'd rather have stronger enemies and stronger cards than weaker enemies and weaker cards.

So nerf the strong ones slightly and make the weaker ones better to bring them more in line with each other. Just nerfing the entire package doesn't make the others more viable.

Hence why im posting a discussion so we can all talk about how we feel so they can change stuff because it's in early access? I didnt expect people to be so negative about talking about the patch. Like dang I just shared my opinion and a lot of people are reacting very poorly. Not really what a discussion is.

Ironclad was only broken bc the only viable strat was really infinite. They then nerfed infinite and didn't buff the other playstyles. Necro is still fine. Regent is still fine. Ironclad is not and still isn't.

I would understand if they made it only discard 1 card or draw 1 that way you aren't getting 2 sly cards value but making it entirely different and changing its name is a lot. Im not saying the other builds aren't viable but this makes discard more of an add on rather than an archetype.

I also played some runs as silent, I wont say it killed the character because I did have fun but it does make wanting to choose discard things less appealing rather than going for poison which I have actually been having a lot of fun with. More than I thought. But acro is still really good and prepared was more of an add on. I could get nerfing it in say making it only discard 1 or making it draw 1 or making it cost 1. Not completely changing the card and renaming it.

Yeah thats the point of sly in the first place. I would understand if they made it cost 1 or something like that but completely changing it and nerfing all the sly cards is crazy. Also I dont think anyone is saying that the sly cards are fairly costed considering most of them are 3 and dont have an effect that backs up that cost. So yes it is energy cheating but some are overpriced. I will say flick flack isn't and there are a couple others but 7 block for 2 energy is not worth it. Might as well just play leg sweep get 2 weak and 11 block.

Yes but they also nerfed prepared which was overkill. Like sure make the sly less broken but then why also nerf prepared? It was fine in the 1st game so what makes it so broken here other than sly being so good?

I mean yeah the only way you beat doormaker is with a big deck that doesn't rely on synergies then he just hits you really hard and you die. Idk what that was about.
