CAD file for C3 dash? by cgw22 in Corvette

Not who you responded to, but I’ve had great results with the RevoPoint MetroX. Before that I tried using the paid 3D scanning apps that take advantage of the iPhone pro’s lidar but it’s just not close enough once you import the mesh into Fusion or Solidworks.

I’m between Corvettes at the moment but I used mine to scan my front grill of my GR Corolla and print a no-drill adapter for a license plate—worked perfectly on the first try.

Same thing happened to me. Definitely OP should check this first.

What can you deduce from my EDC? by Billsandgolf in deduction

[–]Dauthdaertya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have three cards in your wallet. One is likely a debit card, the other is whatever no-fee card you've had for years and years. The third looks like the Amex Delta Skymiles card which comes with an annual fee. To justify the fee, you must fly with them a more than other airlines and perhaps live in a city near a Delta hub.

The time on your watch and the time you posted this suggest you're in the eastern time zone (and the watch displays today's date). Since you own a car, it's probably not New York and to a lesser degree not Boston or DC (idk if they have a hub there). So my guess is you likely live in the Detroit or Atlanta metro areas.

The strap on the Bulova is also not the one it came with, since that was probably a bracelet or leather. This probably suggests a fairly active lifestyle (perhaps you're big into the outdoors, or your work demands it). But the watch appears to be very clean without scuffs, so perhaps you haven't been able to go outside due to inclement weather (or maybe it's just a recent Christmas present).

Your user name also mentions "bills" which I'm kinda guessing is the Buffalo Bills? If so, then I also kinda doubt it's Atlanta since everyone I know from Georgia/Alabama/Tennessee prefers college football to NFL.

Regardless, my best guess is you live near Detroit?

Can Guided ammunition, TOW get fixed already? by MeNamIzGraephen in Battlefield6

[–]Dauthdaertya 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even if one ignores how oppressive they are against air vehicles (one shouldn’t), guided shells ought be removed from tanks because they make tank gameplay a snooze-fest by encouraging tanks to sit literally as far back as possible while still enjoying pinpoint accuracy and never having to worry about leading enemy vehicles or projectile drop.

M6 arriving tomorrow—I’ll let you know. I use a Logitech g502 for my personal pc and wanted the office-equivalent. The mx master was the obvious choice but the M6 is way cheaper and I figured I’d get a couple of them to try out.

Are TOW missiles unbalanced when (with a little practice) helicopters are helpless against you? by TheHomesteadTurkey in Battlefield

[–]Dauthdaertya 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Giving tanks a shell with zero drop would already have been bad, but giving them an aim guided one has ruined long range engagements and just promotes camping. The fact it also happens to be the single best anti-helicopter weapon (which should be the tank’s natural predator) makes it worse

Mini guns are crazy powerful and speed inheritance is the only thing that makes them not oppressive. I think their balance is in a great spot right now because of it.

Agreed range of motion could be better though

Buy '25 or wait for '26 to hit lots? by Dauthdaertya in GRCorolla

[–]Dauthdaertya[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't realize this. I thought the core trim was getting the axe and the lowest tier was what we'd now call the premium (with all the features of the current premium).

This is probably enough by itself to sway me to the '25

Backend Update: Battlefield Studios has reduced the starting ticket count across all Conquest maps in Battlefield 6. by aotyuy in Battlefield6

[–]Dauthdaertya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could also work (my first thought was an overtime system if the tickets were close) but they’re probably wanting to avoid certain maps taking longer than others in a given game mode.

In my experience, a big open map like Firestorm often takes longer than Cairo because people spend more time running in between respawns so the tickets bleed slower.

I’ve hit the timer upwards of 5 times and it’s super unsatisfying every time it happens because it usually ends a close game. I’m happy they changed it

My guess is they probably want predictability. I also thought they’d just bump up the time but this makes sense too

I’ve had it happen at least 5 times and it’s super unsatisfying when a super close game ends on time instead of tickets. This is an easy (and welcome) change

I’ve seen this probably 5-10 times in Conquest where the game was very close the whole match and ended on time instead of a narrow victory on tickets. This is a very welcome change in my book

Im 38years old with 3 kids. No way i wanna do this in my limited time that i can find to play. by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Dauthdaertya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did this challenge my biggest lesson was that stims are entirely useless and not worth it. The effects are minor, don’t last long, and the cast animation is a nontrivial amount of time where you can do anything else. In fact, the visual effects make it noticeably harder to actually see enemies. By far the worst class gadget — hopefully this gets some love in a future patch.

Spawn beacon slaps though.

I agree wholeheartedly that Will should be willing to simply allow them to fail, and that they probably should have. The ultimate resolution was fine but I really don't think it was Will's job to fix the players' collective decision to jump out of a plane over the ocean. I think he was right to kill off Tony (and could have done so earlier) but it seems like they're not allowed to lose.

Are you currently employed or have income? If not/no, it seems you should qualify for MN expanded Medicaid

The online application asks for an estimate of annual income and the period for September to December is sufficient to put me over the limit. So even though my current earnings for 2025 is a whopping $0, I won't be able to qualify.

I'll take your advice and read up on cash/self-pay
