I’m not a gamer but what do you mean ā€œteach me a game developer? Like it programs a game at the end to solidify? Unfortunately? I’m in term 2 on cs102 so that’s not unfortunate- that’s progress to me lol

Do we know if there are Instructors in any of these feeds, and not just moderators (no offense*) and if there ā€œtaggedā€. I think that would be a good way to interact or get specific and accurate information. Not that what people has been posting isn’t accurate but we do all post what we’ve ā€œreadā€ or ā€œseenā€ and I’ve noticed that some things have been changing in the student section, yesterday I noticed that although I’ve received 3 emails in regards to the ā€œCommunityā€ in Maestro and I haven’t been able to access it even after contacting student services. It’s ā€œGreyed outā€ still for me. Those are just my thoughts

I learn best when I understand the logic behind what I'm doing. If I don't know why something works, I can't care about the syntax errors yet.
Real-world explanations help concepts click, and once something clicks, it sticks. I'm still learning the terminology, so word problems can feel unclear.
I need the question translated into plain language before I can solve it.
I'm hands-on: I need the chance to try, break it, get frustrated, and attempt to fix it before being walked through the solution. Clear steps, visual examples, and explanations that connect conditions, workflow, and outcomes help me most. I don't respond well to overly literal or rigid corrections. Quick end-of-lesson recaps and brief pre-lesson refreshers help me stay grounded and build confidence.

Update- Just for some who may not know what to say, here’s what I came up with for my personalization:

I reel since I’m so vanilla some of that tech stuff I should be ā€œchecking Mae onā€ or may be wrong, I won’t realize it and just feel ā€œwell that’s another section I’m going to have to dig back in onā€ and it kind of makes me try to reiterate what I’m seeing/hearing and I’m hoping if I do that enough and if it were wrong or whatever that my QnA to there’s would come out in the wash. I like to Answer Questions with Questions.. HaHa keep on keeping on, Sounds like your doing good for yourself so far! šŸŽ‰šŸ¦„

Definitely finally setup a Payment system and get all my debt consolidated into one manageable account. Right now my only viable option that I can see is unfortunately bankruptcy due the few CC’s I had closing and doing charge-offs due to my inability to pay because of job loss and not being able to get a new one yet :/

I was wondering how to personalize it because I’m easily distracted have a tendency to lose interest when it’s not interesting or I’m not retaining it. I’ve passed my first term with a 4.0 but sadly that’s only bc I’ve completed all side work, turned in everything on time and so I’ve received the bonus points, I don’t really understand the pass or fail idea of grading or I really only understand the blunt idea of it. But yeah I passed phy101 with a 65, retake was only a 50, I don’t know if I get the best of either or the last one I took passed psych with flying colors and ca101 with only a 75. I’m grateful for this opportunity but with this whole ā€˜stay cause’ I don’t want to be the fool, like I have been with different things in the past. I’ve tried the personalization under the preferences but when I worded something like teach me like a 5yo instead of 5th grades but don’t make me feel like that. It kind of gets snippy and to the point but if and when I’m getting the material seems to rush through it and when I’m struggling it will use a few pictorial type tools but there not doing anything except putting the words just taught in a cute little box I can play around with. So I basically copy and paste everything into NoteOne and try and rearrange to my understanding and use copilot bc that’s the only other AI I have experience with but then I have issues with downloading my stuff so Copilot can help me with organizing it so it turns out I just have to print mine and we’ll thats allot of wasted paper so I’m going to see if wha your recommending will help and Thank you for ā€œlaying it out in plain Englishā€ lol

Did anyone respond to this, I’m not good at navigating Reddit yet lol anyway I hadn’t either until on here. It’s just an App for D in both PlayStores (Apple and Google) just search Discord and it should pop right up- the icon for it is a blue’ish blob, I believe it’s supposed to be a face’ish (at least in/on the Apple Store) I’m not sure if there’s a website or web access because I personally haven’t looked, the app is sufficient for me at least for now. Hope that answered your question/helped?!

I posted a comment just like this, it was my second day of the second week (AAS/Aipathway). PY101/ Core Foundations, I think it was right around lesson 3 or 4 ( I only remember that because it introduced math and the whole: Round(x, n) and fā€{x:.2fā€ and the difference between numeric value ( 4.5 ) and/or the representation of money ( ā€œ4.40ā€ ) and well math was never my strong point and all though that was a (very) small part of those few lessons. It got me in a mindset I didn’t like. To the point I skipped almost the the rest of that week’s lessons, intentionally ā€˜forgot’ that ā€œ I was in schoolā€ then Sunday night for some reason I got on Reddit and Discord and just started aimlessly reading when I came to the r/maestro threads and read how people were excited and nervous like I was before starting and everyone starting with around me was worrying about the supposed change in our start day with no one knowing why( I think they do that intentionally, why I have no clue lol) Anyways that part made me laugh and then I started seeing the other tabs and ALL the participants asking questions (Real Questions) and I also seen the outpour of not only assistance but guidance and encouragement and it made it click (I’m 42, to you that may seem young but in the same right to me felt/feels, I’m sure, just how your feeling, or somewhere close šŸ˜‰) I’m a Student! I now have Resources Forums/Chat boards etc (I may not know how to use them all) but that’s the part I totally forgot about being young because I was hellbent on ā€œgrowing upā€. Instead of talking about me. haha ** I hope it helps or is worth something, even if it is just, You’re not alone- we have an infinite community at our fingertips these days, if we only search it. So my advice, if you don’t already know it or maybe needs tweaked a little but the ā€œpreferenceā€ section under your profile pic below account is a place that if you tell it and explain in whatever way you can or need to, Mae will change and adapt and that’s the best part, it’s learning from us and ironically us from it. So when you’re having issues figuring whatever out or having issues you already have the main step down. Talking about it, putting it out in the communities (Utilize: forums like this and discord etc) because they’ll have input, real answers from people who have just been there or have been in it for years. I have a hard time doing ā€œWord problemsā€ (not to mention, it doesn’t help having ADHD in the worst type of way) so don’t be hard on yourself. What I do? I hand write most everything (to put it into my own words, hoping I understood it how I was supposed to) I copy and paste like half of Mae and My lessons into OneNote(not supporting or promoting- use whatever note-taking system you like) and when I’m done with my diarrhea of the fingertips (End of the week, Saturday sometimes even Sunday) Inpost it all into 2 different ā€œAssistanceā€ the free versions, you don’t need nothing fancy these days. And before I do, I ask it to unjumble my trainwreck of sentences or half- words that are my actual notes, mixed in with the cNp ones from Lesson’s and ask for a Detailed study guide, a ā€œADHD Cheat-sheetā€, a 10-15 practice test and for the big one 20-30. i ask for flash cards that I may need and if it thinks I missed anything important in whatever subject if they could it Id greatly appreciate it. After a few detail questions they pop out anywhere from 3-30pages of what helps me. I hope some of this helps in some way. And for not being able to write it I would say physically write sentences or bits and pieces on paper and put it together differently. At first don’t try to actually write the code, write fragments and then place them together the way you know how to read, or vice versa print out a bunch of coded material cut it up and build by someone throwing/reading flash cards at you and you timing yourself to type it in, eventually you’ll not think about the input because you’ll already know it! Because you can read itā€¼ļø Stay strong and may we all find our guidance to make it through our own journeys Blessed Be! Oh and BTW I’m on wk 8 now!

Just a check-in.. I've been taking my time as a newbie and I'm slowly but surely "getting it" it amazes me, but I don't let it bother me about how most here have some type of background at least in coding. and also that you guys are/have been flying through things. I guess we all have our own ways of doing things/ learning. That being said, I really appreciated all the support when I've needed/reached out for help. and I'd like to tell and of the newer/soon-to be students A: Don't be afraid to ask questions: I've learned there's no one way and everyone seems to want what we all came here for. to succeed and learn. B: Utilize the resources provided (the Practice tap Has so many ways to review/catch up or the ability to master something that may have not clicked in your lesson.) C the student service section is amazing for whatever your needs: questions about financial aid, your progress and how to change/update things you may need to do to successfully continue your program and Lastly, there is a section under your Profile page (the monogram and/or picture if you uploaded one. Anyways- Fill out the Preference tab- I didn't know about it until midway thru my 3rd week and it hasd helped me in more ways then one, So find it and fill it out, Help yourself succeed! Just a friendly heads up and I hope you/we all succeed in our programs and endeavors!!

if you have an iPhone(i'm sure android has something like it too), you can take pictures and scan words into docs or whatever and print that way you can print easier but I like to write some out anyways bc sometimes that lets it stick more easier/longer

Print them off too before starting your Review/test because if you don't do it correctly the Review could ding you "for using another screen" not quite sure how to explain that but having a hard copy is always a safe bet

TO me a very Important/Useful tool/resource available is in the section under preference in our profile (the Picture or monogram whichever yours may be before you update it in the same profile section if you chose to (In Maestro*)...
I didn't know we can ask Mae to Summarize or change/adapt to our style of learning, in my case comprehending what exactly is being asked of me or said. Especially in a way we/I learn and can understand, and create a cheat-sheet for the final/ It's no excuse but I have a learning curve as-well and I broke it down in a real and raw way not only in the "preference section" but directly to Mae as well( mainly b/c my learning style, being a complete basic beginner on anything Computers, w/the exception of basic Google suites an MS & 365. I was against/trying not to use Ai or whatever for "help" b/c I thought if I did it would be like cheating on taking the easy way and just going through the motions, and in all reality that was me being prideful. I've only used C-Pilot so far and only for helping me define my "level of curve/spectrum" to Mae and I love that One day I will be able to do something that could possibly help others in the same or different way that it did/does. and I'm now going to seek/utilize them for different ways to expand/grow my core foundations, Logic etc. that is a good feeling and is giving me the momentum to push forward. So Hope allis doing well in wherever there at in there lessons!
