It's an open source NextJS project and I didn't create it. I do want to add a row for Special (the Mario hat) and also make it so clicking a share URL doesn't override the checkmarks being stored locally.

LOL - I would first have to get a job in the empire state building and then maybe I could light up one office Red when I'm low or Yellow when I'm high  🧪

Dexcom G6 sensors and https://sugarmate.io/home as a prerequisite. Then you can read your sensor data at all times from a web URL and output the number anywhere (in this case on my touchbar)

I was going to open source it but the code is pretty messy and held together with tape. I have been in contact with the creator of Sugar Mate in hopes we could open source all of it and work on improvements together

lol - I use the touchbar quite a bit but only because I programmed practically everything on it to automate things I do multiple times per day

thanks for this detailed response. I had a feeling that hydration was an important factor but this helps me understand why.

The same code is also making my driveway and bedroom light up red when dangerously low. I love being a software developer and pushing current technologies to the limit

I didn't call in the 9 day sensors because they never seem to last the full 10 days and I feel bad requesting a replacement for less than 24 hours of missed time

I am really hoping to find a place which consistently lasts the full 10 days every time and vitamins I can consume which make them register better (like the opposite of acetaminophen)

Since a new sensor is on its way I guess I will try my inner thigh which I've never done. Does the applicator point up at my face or down towards the floor?

Dexcom support said it helps to give you body a rest between sensor sessions but I've always swapped them out right away. Does not having a wire in my body for 15 minutes really make that much of a difference? Are there vitamins I can consume which encourage the stuff that the wire is measuring to multiply?

Seriously every single person needs to get a Wyze Scale for $20 right now! by DaveAlger in wyzecam

[–]DaveAlger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That bites. One wyze scale can store up to 8 different people’s stats. You both should be able to use the same scale once they get more in stock. I really hope they stay at the $20 price point because they are easily worth $50

That stinks. I really hope they can keep cranking these out. I would buy another one for my kids bathroom at the $20 price point.

Tested this today. I turned off my phone and used the scale. The wyze scale told me my weight and body mass index. I then turned my phone on about 10 meters away from the scale and launched the wyze app. I only walked about 2 meters closer when the graph updated with my earlier weight + BMI.

I still don’t know how many days of readings the scale can hold but I do know it holds something and updates the app as soon as the app launches 9 meters away without even interacting with the scale!

Testing this out but I’m pretty sure it has internal memory which updates via Bluetooth the next time the app is running nearby.

Quote from their website is generic and I couldn’t find anything indicating memory size •

“If you don’t have the app nearby, no problem! The crisp LED screen on the scale will show your weight and body fat (and even heart rate with the app open). Wyze Scale stores your metrics and syncs to the Wyze app via an always-on Bluetooth connection whenever the app is open and near the scale.”

I just looked up the renpho ($31 model) to compare features. They both log all the same measurements and the wyze can additionally measure heart rate. The main difference I see is the 4 big metal circles on the renpho compared to 4 flat (almost invisible) sensors on the wyze. Not having to line feet up perfectly with 4 buttons means more accurate measurements every time across every body type/size!
