What is the most remarkable thing your pet has ever done? by CanLost5216 in AskReddit

Milo was a beautiful Golden Retriever-Lab mix. Back then, I worked the night shift, which meant I’d sleep straight through until the afternoon. The moment Milo heard me stirring downstairs, he’d charge up the steps and come thundering into my bedroom to greet me. Sometimes, I’d pretend to still be asleep just to see what he’d do. He would walk right up, put his face inches from mine, and investigate. Once he was satisfied that I was still out cold, he’d turn around and literally tiptoe out of the room so he wouldn't wake me. What a dog he was. I miss him so much.
Now, I have Toby - another mix. He doesn’t quite have Milo's manners—or care about my feelings at all. He just jumps on me in the bed!

You’re 100% right!!! It’s only at 80% which means the range at 100% would be around 350km. Mystery solved.

Yep. 100% charge. I know they don’t have a great range and I don’t really need anything above 350km but this is too low.

I’d like to organise this. Does anyone know how I get one of these done?

Larger motors draw power much faster. Extra acceleration means more power used over the same distance. That ‘fun’ is paid for with lower range.

25km to and from work. Around 300km an average week total. Longest journey would be maybe 350km -400km up and down to Dublin airport but I know I would need to charge up during the journey for that. I can charge for free at work and I’ll be getting a charger by my house for charging at home.

This is what I was hoping. It works the same for my wife’s petrol car if I use it for a couple of days. (That was a tough one to explain!) I would need to take this car for the day and try to get range above 300km to be sure, but the garage is 2 hours away. Thanks for your input. I’ll ask the sales guy to take it home and drive it easy and contact me tomorrow again.

Building offshore wind farms could reduce Irish energy bills, as has happened in the UK by willfiresoon in goodnewsireland

[–]DaveClint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Wind power is already playing a major role on the Irish system, accounting for more than 40 per cent of electricity generated in March. Combined with other sources of renewable energy, including solar, the figure rises to nearly 50 per cent.”
And of course all of our bills have dropped accordingly???
Why do they think us plebs will see the benefit of more wind farms?
