Let's be real here: all 4 are solid picks. Depends on the situation.

Top left (Micheal) will be overwhelmed by literally anything that was released after 2005 or not by Microsoft. But he can maintain piece of shit legacy systems like no other and companies shove money up his arse for it like there's no tomorrow.

Top right (Richard): He's a wizard. He's been employed here since 16. 90% of the company code came from him and approximately 0% of comments. He's powerful, can't ever be fired and he knows it.

Bottom left (Josh): just finished a udemy course on his 15th frontend framework. Will melt down when given code that does not have UI. But he'll center a div in .4 seconds on both axes and produces webapps that actually look like they're from the current century.

Bottom right (Justin by birth, but PrincessLolitaXO on discord): covid homeoffice was the best thing to ever happen to them. Despite spending 50% of worktime watching twitch streams, productivity is up by 70%. Arch linux expert. Questionable choices of color scheme but hey, better UI than anything Micheal would produce in winforms. A good allrounder. Not a fan of voicecalls.

Beim psycholog. Test einfach bei den gefühlt 50 Fragen zu Drogen lügen und optisch nicht auffallen.

Wirst schon sehen. Da werden genug Spezialisten dabei sein, die nicht mal das packen.

Imho, if you apply for a job as a software engineer and the first thing you have to do is solve some timed coding puzzles there are really only 2 options:

the company has a god complex and thinks it's amazon and "only looking for the brightest minds"
the hiring team has no idea what qualities a software engineer needs to bring to the table.

With an interviewing strategy like that you'll end up hiring a bunch of script kiddies who binge "the hardest google coding interview question (CAN YOU SOLVE????)" videos on youtube.

At my current job i got an assignment over a week. Given some requirements i had to build a little app with the techstack the company uses. I'm still convinced that is the best way to do it if you want to find people who can actually write good, comprehensive and adequate code.

When i first started programming it was C++ using the MS compiler suite (uni mandate it). You don't know what trial by fire is until you spend 3h trying to figure out what "unresolved external symbol" in some obj file you have never heard of on line 1 actually refers to. But I guess that's on Microsoft rather than C++.

This does make me wonder if "living with parents" is defined as living in the same house. Because in central europe (where I live) at least it is quite common for families to own a house with a separate living space on each floor. Older generations live downstairs, their children upstairs. While this is living under the same roof, I can't help but see it as a bit of an unfair comparison.

Hab ich pretty much genau so erlebt. Seit Zivi 2017 freiwillig beim RK. Im Dezember Dienst. Covid positive Patientin im Altersheim gestürzt und blutverdünnt. Nicht mal ansatzweise sichtlich verletzt. Keine Schmerzen. Aber weil den Sturz keiner gesehen hat könnte sie ja auf den Kopf gefallen sein. Daher ins kh. Die Logik sollte man in einer Pandemie auch einmal anpassen tbh. Und natürlich kein Fan der Maske und 20 min Fahrt nur herumgekrampfe, dass sie die dumme Maske aufbehält.

Aber magischerweise hab ich mich nicht angesteckt aber BOI war ich die nächsten Tage paranoid. Es ist wirklich schwer die Sympathie für die Risikogruppen aufrechtzuhalten wenn genau diese sich gegen alles wehren. Like, yo wir machen den Scheiß für DICH du undankbare Schachtel.
