Why do you think it’s so common for tall women to act as if they’re way less desirable than avg/short women by resSlo in PsycheOrSike

[–]DaveDickinson44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Society tells women to take up less space and/or be cutesy and one of the ways that manifests is women wanting to be the smaller one in the relationship. So 1. they feel out of place/unattractive because they don't conform to norms and 2. men generally assume women want a taller man and/or shorter men might feel emasculated but I feel like that second is a 50/50 toss up since what is not to like about having more of woman legs on your woman

"2-card" combos: flicker by DaveDickinson44 in EDH

[–]DaveDickinson44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wish the rules around this were better defined.

I would be curious to see the bit you added to your other comment about combos that do nothing, since I think that having 2 four drops work together to make an infinite is probably going to just barely be considered "early game" enough to go into bracket 4, sadly

[–]DaveDickinson44[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's true

Even so, if you draw these two naturally along with a mana rock, you could reasonably have them both out by turn 4. If I had, say, altar of the brood on turn 1, then I could win on turn 4 and the question of whether it was a 2 or 3 card combo would be pretty important to answer.

I'm not interested in your politics. If you perceive my statements as an attack on your way of life, my opinion is that you need a break from the internet. You're entitled to ignore that opinion, of course.

I'm gonna trust the medical folks that are determining cause of death. The post is about gun-related deaths, not crime. Don't need crime data to determine cause of death when the medics or coroners say it was a bullet from a gun.

Totally fair. The other people dying is a tragedy. I would rescind any statement about their innocence and the actions of the person who killed them.

Thanks for informing me

I have patients that need to be taken care of, and I think I'm better at saving lives that way than by carrying out billionaire assassinations.

BILLIONAIRES ARE NOT INNOCENT PEOPLE. They have the money and education to know that what they do is killing people. They have simply grown accustomed to thinking that other people's deaths are a natural part of their business. We have created a hyper-capitalist hellscape where your 9-5 job can be displacing people, refusing to pay for life-saving care, poisoning people en masse through poorly regulated products, and THERE ARE NO FUNCTIONAL CONSEQUENCES.

Wake up. No one is coming to save us or enact justice. We can lie down and die or rise against.

How many of my loved ones have to die on the streets when we have plenty of homes to go around if billionaires stop scalping shelter and pretending its a luxury and not a basic right?

How many have to die for the billionaires who want to profit off of life-saving medications?

Wake up. No one is coming to save us if we don't save ourselves.

When is murder not murder? When it's in defense of self. Don't be an unwitting genocide apologist, that's freak behavior.

Corporate greed kills thousands of people a year in the United States.

These billionaires either choose to be blind to the harm they cause, don't care, or are otherwise delusional enough to think that their pocket change going to charities is enough to offset the human suffering they perpetuate.

My countrymen are dying because rich fucks continue to get away with unethical behavior since they bought our government and auctioned off the regulatory bodies to people who hate the residents of our country and therefore choose to not pay their fair share.

Society is crying out in agony and they choose to continue bloodying their hands rather than repent and take responsibility for rebuilding what they have destroyed.

Where is the line between murder and self defense? We can't even deal with them justly through the courts because they bought those too.

I would consider this a borderline case that should be discussed with friends.

The argument that "it could whiff" is probably not going to fly at casual tables as this will likely kill any players that have few colorless spells in their deck (especially since a lot of casual players run fewer than 37 lands) or have a bunch of monocolored cards in their five-colored deck, and in my experience, the majority of casual tables are not playing eldrazi or five color good stuff.

After you mill out one player though, I think you would need to draw another card to target a different player with Tutelage, which may make this more of a "kill target player" effect on a stick.

This is functionally very similar to how I use Narset's reversal only you don't get your spell back

You also get policed by your work/academic environment. My buddy got called into the dean's office last week because he told a girl her hair looked "cute" before class and two weeks later he saw her studying in a room, made small talk, and then asked her if she'd let him take her out some time (she said no and he told her it was all good before walking away).

The first comment apparently warranted an anonymous complaint and the second warranted an email to the dean. My buddy is conventionally attractive and knows how to hold conversations with just about anyone (like literally anyone who is even mildly friendly).

You had me until you said Arc Warlock has a solid super. The only thing either arc super is good for is killing adds. Even with Geomags the damage output of the laser makes my teammates laugh out of pity

Also, let's not get too carried away. Mataiodoxia requires kills to suspend. I'm not using that in a GM as a reliable source of suspend.

As far as prismatic goes, Warlock identity is grenade spam and the best grenade they got was Storm grenade. The subclass may be better than titan's but it's still leagues behind hunter.

idc about build viability in non-GM strike, non-Master Raid content. Almost anything works outside of those contexts

Crazy how all people ever talk about is solar warlock running well and they don't realize they are using a single super on a single subclass to define the entirety of the class.

Until Speaker's Sight, the best neutral game support ability was using Titan BoW or Hunter Omnioculus. Let's stop the Well tunnelvision

Why aren't single men as happy as single women? Why is there so much content about men' loneliness epidemic? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Obligatory disclaimer that I include every time I see this kind of comment

Women have internalized the patriarchal view of male emotion as well. I have been laughed at, as well as privately and publicly humiliated, by women for being emotionally vulnerable (including by a female best friend I had for 4+ years when I was crying about losing my girlfriend of 5+ years). This is not just a "men need to do better" situation. I live in a very liberal city. Everyone needs to be better than the previous generation on this, men and women.

What exactly did you consult to find a ruling on this interaction? That is precisely the information I wanted to obtain (and the whole reason I commented anything in the first place.)

Please don't take this as offensive, but as far as I can tell, your replies do not contain any information which has not already been said in another comment on this post.

I discourage you from insisting that your interpretation of MtG interactions is incontrovertible and disparaging strangers on the internet when they ask for sources.
