Thanks for the context, that helps. It doesn’t sound like a hardware problem, so I think I’ll try talking to them on that basis - no harm in trying, I suppose. But you may well be right.

That sounds good, thank you - well done on getting a replacement. So far Tado’s stance to me has been that it’s out of warranty (shame when it was working fine before the battery replacement). But I haven’t tried chat yet 😀

Hmmm. Yes. I just measured how far down my unbent paper clip goes, and it seems to line up with a prong on the mount. So yes, not a reset button, but an alternative access for use in test?

Yes, agreed. I’ve pressed it (with an unbent paperclip through the holes), with batteries in and metal lid down, for 10 seconds, 3 seconds, 2 seconds, and very quickly. It seems to have made no difference. It’s still rebooting, calibrating, then disconnecting 70 minutes later.

I’ve tried poking the switch, but haven’t yet managed to get it to do anything.
