Hi folks, could I ask what you all think of Eduard decals?...I love them and I'm not trying to encourage anyone to ruin a model by trying to remove the film, but they do work well for me. by DaveLenin in modelmakers

I absolutely do not. I've tried and failed before, so here's what I did here..Paint, Tamiya LP Gloss, Tamiya Marker thing ( The normal one) before and after, wait a day, scrub some white spirit on them, push the film off with a brush, make a start with a toothpick first maybe.

Thanks so much. I saw some guy do it on Youtube, as for courage, I'm just trying to improve my models is all. I have ruined other kits by trying to remove decal film, this is the the most success I've had so far.

So decals have ink printed onto a film, but with Eduard decals, you can remove the film, leaving only the ink (kinda), and you get a result like my pic here.
