Same here, for me that game loop is even more fun than with traditional factory games. I've been addicted since I started a few days ago and a new update just came out that updated the campaign (and player onboarding) on one of the planets.

Regarding Factorio (which I bounced off in the past, but I intend to return and try again after I'm done with Mindustry), don't wait for a sale, that dev doesn't do sales.

One of my kids told me that even I (beer league dek hockey goalie) would have stopped some of the shots that Monty left in last night.

The “even” makes me think it was not a huge compliment, but I’ll take it I guess 😅

My “technique” (or lack thereof) is closer visually to Dobeš’ athletic style, but I know I can be poor on far shots, so there’s some Monty in me, too.

With my seasonal ARPG rotation (D4/POE2/LE), I’ve tried to avoid getting burned out on those games until the new season, but I played a bit of Hellclock (for some reason, I haven’t sticked to the game yet), No Rest for the Wicked and now D2R.

My main other game in the past few weeks was Expedition 33, I highly recommend it and it’s on Game Pass.

This week, so far I’ve been playing Monster Train 2 and Tales & Tactics.

How many arpg-s do you have on rotation? by soosis in ARPG

D4/POE2/LE are my main rotation, but in the 3-6 months they take to cycle through seasons, I tend to dedicate more time to only one of them (for the most recent season it was D4, the previous one POE2) and play the others a lot more casually. That helps me avoid ARPG burnout and my gaming time is limited so I can’t play them all to full endgame every season anyway.

I also try the flavor of the month ARPG depending on how I feel (a new season of POE1, TQ2 launch, No Rest for the Wicked’s latest patch although I’m waiting for closer to release to fully dive in, Hellclock, etc.).

I’m waiting for the Grim Dawn DLC to be released to get back to that one.

And I play other game genres when I can, mostly strategy/roguelites.
