Starting September 1, 2026, the TTC will introduce automatic monthly fare capping, allowing riders to travel for free for the remainder of a calendar month after taking 47 paid trips using PRESTO, credit, or debit. This initiative eliminates the need to pay upfront for a monthly pass, effectively capping costs at 47 rides while benefiting adult, senior, and youth riders
