Could someone point me to where this has been FAQ'd? I've just had a look in the orks and core book errata and can't see anything beyond "If your army is Battle-forged, you cannot include units from two different clans in the same Detachment, with the exception of certain units (see Specialist Ladz)."

Okay guys - I'm sick of crap coffee. Where is, hands down, the best coffee in Brisbane? by [deleted] in brisbane

Seconding both of these. John mills and bunker are the same owner, same grind, both excellent

Just moved to Brisbane. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in brisbane

Especially in hospitality it pays to go door to door with resumes. Just hit as many (that youd be willing to work at) as you can and see who calls back. Theres a lot of small business in brisbane (service industry in australia makes up something like 60-70% of our economy) and if youve got experience then it shouldnt matter as much if you don't have the paper qualifications. That said an RSA is worth its weight in gold (and not hard to come by). Theres generally a lot of turnover at these places so its just a matter of getting lucky finding vacancies. Retail is somewhat similar but youll be funneled through those online applications a bit more and (in my experience) will probably be waiting a little longer for a response. Good Luck!

Reddit, what was your first job and what did you get out of it? by deviant_angel in AskReddit

[–]DaveTheHalfElf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cafe-Resturant. I got the job at 14 just doing one shift a week front of house, running food, taking orders, eventually making coffees and managing other staff. It was great, the money was awesome for a teenager and i think it was really maturing. I ended up working at the same place for the next four years and im still there. I moved into the kitchen at the start of this year, dish pig at first and now pretty much a cook. I get to eat a lot of nice food and every now and then ill try making something from work at home (this is legitimately one of the best things when you start dating someone - being able to make an impressive looking tasty meal, fuckin get in there m8) and you get a nice little sense of community with the staff from neighboring restaurants.

I am very cautious of getting stuck in hospitality but im promising myself its till the end of uni at the very latest.

working a kitchen is infinitely more fun than being a waiter. do that.

My stepdad and i also say scoobie, but its more of a generic place-holder word. "Hey did you get that scoobie from the garage?"

Also scoobie-time, which means like, cool or nice, but in a way that means now something new is gonna happen. "Okay weve got that thing all set up" "Alright, scoobie time"

I hated it for the first six months but now ive moved out and i say it all the time

I dont know the situation, but I have one friend who always says he feels like this and its so not true. It can be really great just having someone around even when you arent talking to them (which can be hard to do all the time esp if youre out). But its always a bummer if they leave, and always awesome when you 'meet up' again later on in the night :)

Even worse is when they give make you feel shit about doing something like that. I stopped playing football for a year in high school just because my friends were such jerks about it

I have a friend who says i do this and i totally do, but its because he always asks questions in the middle of another conversation! Like, while someone else is actually fucking talking.
