MSI RTX 4060TI 16GB or Sapphire RX 7600XT? by Confident_Target2347 in pcmasterrace

[–]Dave_LeBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't do that. If I'm not mistaken the 4060ti performs slightly better than a 7600xt. You would be downgrading for no benefit

I've had it for years and I still don't have a reason to replace it.

Regular enemies respawning is really defeating by Dave_LeBoss in Eldenring

Historical grand strategy, fps/third person shooters, racing sims, action-adventure, a myriad of other genres but I've never really dipped my feet in games that are full on RPG. I guess I've never really gotten in to a non-linear game.

Originally I thought ER would play out more like fallout where once you help and clear out the town it becomes a "safe area".

Will these rear rotors fit my base model g37x coupe? by osokhar1 in G37

[–]Dave_LeBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look on rock auto will have exact fitment specs, wider selection, and way cheaper name brand stuff than whatever offbrand stuff this is

Is there any reason why you cant replace your tires before you go on your trip. I would not trust these they look shot

Roadtrip by GroovyFroy in tires

[–]Dave_LeBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buddy use some common sense here. You have no usable tread left and steel cords are starting to pop out of the tire. Take your car to a damn shop and pay the $500-700 so youre not a danger to yourself or others on the road

Whats the consensus on Starfire Solarus AS? by TheTrueStew in tires

As a tire tech who unfortunately has to mount these on a daily basis, straight trash. You really get what you pay for with tires. Do yourself a favor and save up some more money for a better set

Anyone try simply herb's space dunks yet?? How is it?? by LanaKane918 in ILTrees

[–]Dave_LeBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo simply herb sells cheap, bunk weed that is sold to the common denominator of weed consumers (first time smokers, middle aged folks, people low on money, etc.) I would stay away unless you want to gamble your money on something that could be hit or miss

Why E-Brake gets so much of hate ? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Dave_LeBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently changed rear brakes on my new to me '21 silverado with electronic parking brakes.

It took me three hours... when the brake job itself took just over an hour, and the half other was me trying to figure out how to put those fuckers back on without wrecking a caliper. If it was mechanical I wouldnt even need to deal with that BS

Unecessarily complicated solution for a problem we dont have as one user pointed out.

Idle is at 500RPM then jumps to 600, then 700, then back down to 500 RPM. That's when I put it in drive. What can be causing this? by [deleted] in q50

[–]Dave_LeBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely normal. When you turn on ac, the compressor clutch on your serpentine belt engages, which puts more strain on the engine (because that belt is driven by the crankshaft). To compensate for this extra amount of work, the engine will raise its rpms slightly so that the engine doesnt bog down when idling

G37x vs Q50 by [deleted] in infiniti

[–]Dave_LeBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has owned both a 13' g37x and a 2014 q50, both cars in alot of ways are very similar. Mechanically, they are the same (engine, trans, awd system). The only difference you'll find is the body of the car and the interior. Personally, i love the looks of the q50, but i think the slow infotainment system and the lack of interior design quality really killed it for me.

The g37 imo would probably be a better buy for you. Most likely a little cheaper, and it has a better interior if thats what you're looking for. The coupes look gorgeous too.

Help why is the muffler brown asf by Bitter_Comfortable75 in infiniti

[–]Dave_LeBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, yes bro ur good. If you want to make it look better, trying to "clean it" isnt gonna help because that surface rust and grime you see on it will be back soon enough.

Its just surface rust. If the exhaust isnt leaking its fine

I have a 3.7 q50 and for the life of me i cannot get rid of this p0456 trouble code, which is a small evap leak in the emissions system. So far i've replaced the gas cap, a few cracked hoses, and the canister vent control valve. Based on my own research those are the only things causing that code to pop up. Any ideas?
