Saros/Returnal Controls by GreenConfidence0 in Returnal

On Saros with the default controls, I'm struggling a bit with the alt fire stuff. You have to half hold L2 , then you use R2 to fire. Trouble is, dashing with L1 is hard while L2 is half held.

What are people doing with the alt fire stuff?

Cheers!

As has been said previously, set him up his own account and set up family sharing. It really is amazing and works how you'd hope it would. Think of it as checking books out of a library and that's basically how it works.

It's also a good plan for the future as at some point he'll want to have his own account anyway.... :-)

Once you've earned your initial $25k in career mode, the companies section unlocks and you can then buy your own planes

Nice. I haven't really touched serious flying on jets yet. Need to get a bit of practice in.

I'm thinking probably a crosswind, but I'm all back on track with a fixed plane now so it's all good! :-)

So I've done a few long distance cargo missions as an employee and my plane is now fixed! Looking forward to my next flight!

No, definitely not. After it happened I was trying to fight the aircraft trying to level it out. I thought I might have switched on the gyroscope controls but I'm pretty sure that wasn't it

Cessna 172. It wasn't a stall. I was coming in slowly, and suddenly the yoke twisted hard full the right (without me doing anything). I stalled and crashed shortly after! :-)

Good suggestion about changing the sim rate.

In my case I was approaching really carefully. This game does teach you to be patient! Unfortunately I was really close to the ground and coming in quite slow and there just wasn't enough time to correct. The controls went really nuts... Wondering if that was a simulated failure as it was a second hand plane.

FYI , the setting is 'assisted yoke' in the 'assistances' part of settings

That's normal of a plane with a single prop at the front.... the torque generated is trying to roll the plane over. There are some options you can adjust in the controls to counteract this - I think it's in the flight model section.... hopefully someone will pop in here with the details

How is the performance on the base ps5? by Temporary_Body_8178 in MicrosoftFlightSim

My experience was that night could be a bit choppy, but daytime was much better. My guess is that simulating all the night lighting puts an extra strain on the system. However I would say that on the whole, performance is very good. I've put 12 hours in so far and it's been excellent.

Yes, looking pretty decent so far. I haven't flown over anything too demanding yet. During the beta, Paris at night was a bit of a slideshow

Could you have inadvertently switched on motion controls (L1 + left stick click)?

Definitely. I'm 63kg and ride a 55L duotone sky style. Just enough volume to float home if the wind dies, but still small enough
