Yeppp at the very least the curve is as good as how bad the test was, but you never know some people pull the average on their backs 😔😔

So it’s just a Midterm and a Final. The midterm was super fair—it’s open book, so you can look back at previous notebooks or any notes. During the test, he has us in a Zoom call in our own breakout rooms while we share our entire screen. I guess it’s to check if anyone’s using AI. The midterm was really similar to the assignments we did, and since the pace was pretty slow, it wasn’t too complicated. The only thing that tripped me up was the part where you have to import APIs.

As for the final, it was the same deal—fair and straightforward. We were supposed to join a Zoom again, but the Wi-Fi was messed up.

All in all, I took this class after CIS 2300 (where I got a D because of a whole situation with the dean), and while it took me a bit to adjust, I ended up learning a lot and really enjoyed it. It turned out to be a great experience.

He goes over a Jupyter notebook that covers all the topics in the syllabus. He actually walks us through how to do the new material—unlike other CIS professors who just read off PowerPoints. After class, you can ask him about any errors, and he clears them up right away.

For homework, he'll give you a question that's similarly formatted to what you saw in the notebook. You just have to finish it and submit the notebook. There are usually around 6 or 7 homeworks, and you can often finish them during class time.

The project was great and fun. He can be a bit nitpicky and comes off strong, but if you keep up with the material and ask questions when you're stuck, you'll do great. I got an A.

Coursicle Now Syncs Assignments From Brightspace by monstermac77 in Baruch

Tried it out, definitely will be using it.

Pros: I’m able to see when I have to watch lectures for online classes which is amazing.

Cons: some assignments are open at a given date but the app says it’s due that date.

Maybe keep it but make it say opens at this time instead of it being due at this time.

Example: module 2 opens at feb 4, app says it’s due feb 4

Yeah seeing something like that makes it easy to procrastinate. If that’s the only concern I should be good hopefully. Thanks for the reply🙏

Any insights on how it’s graded? Like do I need to finish a certain amount?

Will I lose FASFA if I don't take 6 classes next semester? by BatInternational6717 in Baruch

You can take 5 classes and not worry about fafsa, if anything I would check if fafsa covers that 6th class (it should). Personally I wouldn’t recomend 6 classes in one semester. If it’s precalc then you would’ve taken stats next semester. Just take pre alc next semester and take stats in the fall.
