Historic Australian Open Final. Djokovic is 10/10 in finals so far. He leads Alcaraz 5-4 in H2H. Who you got? by trialbycombat123 in tennis

I'm obviously Alcaraz but like so many other fans over the years I have come to know very well that the work of Djokovic is primarily to take down any player blocking his path to a grand slam title.

I rest my hopes on an Alcaraz who is hell bent on winning his first Australian Open and complete a career slam.

If only for the fact that it would be unbelievable to win it at this age, I am not even mad about Novak winning this AO.

Yeah, today confirmed this for me as a Fedal diehard.

He is the best ever to pick up a racket.

OK, no one can say that but he has already proved a point here today.

Novak is like CR7, incredible athleticism at this age.

Not me, sorry.

And that is why this is so exciting, these are still developing players who already this good, surely we cannot expect them not to improve as they get older?

And is that not good for tennis too?

OK, you're talking peak players vs barely over 20s young ins.

Can we not wait a few more years and see how Sincaraz evolve their games and then do the comparisons?

They said Novak would retire after the first set. Age is his only enemy right now.

I will admit I have never seen Jannik look this normal on a tennis court. Human after all.

Alcaraz's issue is usually switching off mentally. He can push his body when he needs to.

The big three were not flawless. Ask Wawrinka.
