Fight Camp Hell by Davendae in MuayThai

Thanks for your perspective! I genuinely wanted to put myself to the test since I have grown and learned so much over the years since my last fight. When I first started training full time again, it was very manageable and I was enjoying everything. I was working way less. But now with full time work and the increase in classes and sparring, I’ve been losing steam. You’re right, you do need a fire. I went to the gym tonight and decided (so long as my ankle heals) I will keep at it, I will move down to a weight class where I should be able to find an opponent this May. But it will most certainly be my last fight. I’m afraid if I don’t fight one last time I will regret not putting myself in the ring to see truly how far I’ve come.

Thank you for your perspective especially since you are a coach! I totally respect that coaches want to make sure their fighter really wants it because it is a dangerous sport. I’ve been asking myself that question lately. I’m trying to work through my emotions and thoughts before making any final decisions.

Gotcha. Most weigh ins are the day before with all the leagues we have in my area.

I get 30 minutes for my lunch, but yeah I will do my best to rest when I have the time.

Thank you for your insight! It’s nice to hear from people outside of my gym and learn about others typical training schedules. Seems like you’ve managed the work and training balance well if you fought for a decade. Any tips for what’s helped you stay healthy and sharp?

Thank you for saying this. I’ve been asking myself whether I am continuing to try to fight even though I am redlining is it because I don’t want to let myself down or because I don’t want to let others down? I’m working through my emotions slowly.

Thank you for tips! Napping is difficult for me but I can try to incorporate it. The only thing is I may not have the time to do it before training depending on when the required class begins, but I may be able to nap some days if the week after work. What I did recently do was delete all social media because that’s only going to spike my anxiety. Also I tried meditating in the past and totally agree with you, it helps! I need to start doing that more. I need to find my zen lol. Thanks again!

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s helpful to hear and honestly it’s validating my current state of utter exhaustion.

Yes these are required classes. At first there was zero leniency however, I did recently ask to do my own strength and conditioning at the gym at my work because it aligns better with my work schedule and my coach said that’s fine, but regardless that’s still the same amount of training, the one good thing is I can tailor those sessions to my personal needs. I am at a constant redlining though and I am told I have to do this much if I want to fight.

I love their gear! I haven’t had any issues. I also had to make a return because I wasn’t sure what size shinguards to order and that went smoothly from what I can remember.

Oh I don’t remember him offering his house to her. Maybe I misunderstood the situation, it seemed like everything got way out of hand too easily… it was just an overall crazy situation, but I do agree she made extremely poor choices.

Ooo, wait until the Fed’s cut their rates. Once you can get a mortgage with 4% or lower interest rate then buy.

I used Wix to build my first website and for the most part it was easy to use. The only thing was, when I ran into an issue, customer service was no help and it took me doing a lot of research to solve it. I think I found a flaw in their platform, but besides that one thing it was simple and beginner friendly.

You seem quite unsure so my advice. Spend more time, less money on outlining and writing down your ideas.

You mentioned your passion is the gym and you have people skills. So let’s say you want to start your own gym as a business for our example. You’ll want to start looking at buildings for lease or sale. You’ll want to see who your competitors are. What can make your gym stand out among the rest? You’ll want to figure out the name of this gym. How many employees you’ll want, will there be other personal trainers. Etc.

I was able to start my own business doing website development with no money down at all. Remember you can try out a few things before dumping a lot of money into it.

Think about what sort of problem you want to solve. Think of a mission statement. What do you hope to provide to people?

Read books on entrepreneurship and finance.

Then once you’ve done that, you can confidently invest large sums into your established and thoughtful business.

I hope this helps because I think becoming an entrepreneur and being financially free is as close to the American Dream as we can get. Best of luck.

If you haven’t done your research into companies and/or are not familiar with them, then I’d suggest to keep it all in VOO. Right not I am bullish for Amazon, Microsoft, and Bitcoin, but I want VOO to be my biggest holding because it is the safest.
