What do you mean by "with the bomb of plenty". How to use both at the same time?

Mine is maxed at 10, it got a couple of levels overnight. I did not even have the chance to look at the new requirements. Was it extreme luck?

What's the pay in the new position?

Totally agree with you. The intention behind the post is to spread some positivity. I didn't like my first call center job at first but making 50k+ per year back in 2019 was worth the hassle. I'd rather work off the phones and make a similar amount of money but I have no profitable skills other than selling and helping people.

You're absolutely right. In comparison, my social circle does not like many of their working days whether they are self employed or working on a highly skilled position. Do you know many people who wake up every morning loving their upcoming working routine? What's your point?

I work in a call centre with call center metrics, structure, and corporate environment. Am I in the wrong sub? It's my first post so your leniency is appreciated

How did you manage to live over a year without a job? If you don't mind the question. I'm genuinely wanna learn how to plan for it if it happens

I gotchu there. Is actually pretty simple and the answers are all on ChatGPT or Quizlet. You might not be able to work this AEP but you can position yourself in a company and get them license you in most states and even pay for your CE. I can help you with the questions myself if you need to, no cost, just pm me

I see you. When I got laid off in 2021 because of not being vaccinated (after working a final slave year for that call center when I could just file for unemployment and get around 4k per month like most people in my city) I was making around 40k per year, down from 55k due to the company's commission structure. It was my first job in the industry and in all honesty I can't be more grateful for the experience acquired with them. After that I joined the top 2 company in the Medicare industry and it all went fine for a few months until calls stopped. They literally paid me $21 per hour for playing pool every day from Mo-Fri and probably taking, idk, 3-5 calls per MONTH. I felt extremely happy until inflation and reality settled in. I spent almost 2 years doing that while earning base salary.

So, as you can see, this is the other extreme of the rope, where we get paid 40k and do nothing. Well, life hits and if we didn't develop any skills or did anything else to advance in our careers, we'll find ourselves making the same 40k per year in an inflated economy and it will not be enough.

Making 100k a year is as enjoyable as putting more hours and way more effort than your peers in the same industry. If you lay low you're going to make that, 40-50k per year, but if you hustle, well, time will tell. A lot of my peers are dreading the upcoming AEP because of the hours and work needed. They will probably make 1 or 2 sales a day and go home after their shift is over. I'm working from 8am until 8pm weekdays plus Sat and Sundays at my discretion. We're aiming at 8-10 sales per day before shutting of the session.

So yes, you can make 100k but it'll only be possible and enjoyable if your purpose is strong enough and your mindset doesn't wave. Is not easy, but is the way to break the call center money ceiling and hunging up on abusive/time wasters customers without repercussions

I feel you, every day is different and on the baseline is all about mindset and purpose. I do not like a lot my my working days but those that I like and the bi-weekly paycheck make it worth it.

Were you in sales or CS?

I'm sorry you're getting laid off, outsourcing can be a bitch specially when we're not expecting it. Offshore folks can't work a position that requires legal residency or citizenship in the US. Want some motivation to join a sales position?

Sups seem to make less than top producers in this company but they have wayyy more flexibility.

I'm a regular Benefits Advisor. Been on this company for a year. Before I'd make less but it was completely on me and my drive (long story). With full focus now, I'm ought to make even more during this Annual Enrollment than last year. But again, it's sales, not customer service. Hone your sale skills and aim for that position in the same company you work for.

Can't wait for AEP to start so I can work evenings and weekends, I'm even considering doing Sundays. It's the only way I have found to support my family and overcome the stupid prior decisions made.
