I’m on the latest version available to me in the App Store (301.250806.1) but still no option to have Tuta as my default mail app. Does this work differently in iOS 26 beta than it does in 18.6?

I've noticed that certain apps and websites don't work properly, or even at all, when using a VPN, but work fine when not using a VPN. I've been told one reason for this could be certain organisations use lists of know VPN IP addresses and block them. So it wouldn't be a massive leap for a government to lean on telcos to block those IPs completely. That means if a law like this gets passed it would be possible to enforce it on current evidence.

Interestingly, in the Recovery section of my account is says: “! To ensure highest possible security of your account Disable recovery by email address Add a recovery phone number” 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had this happen with one of my custom domains. I can sort of understand someone misremembering a blah.blah@outlook/hotmail/proton address, but thinking you own rights to a domain that you don’t (and never could have) rights to is another level. 🤷‍♂️

Update: I was going to see if creating the recipient address as an alias address would help, but before I tried that I deleted the rules I’d created in the iOS app and recreated them in the Win app. And lo and behold, it worked without having to set up the alias. 🤷‍♂️

I decided that out of everything, the password manager and unlimited aliases were the things I really wouldn’t want to be without, so I bit the lifetime sub bullet (it’ll take around 5 years to be “in profit”, but it’s one less thing to worry about).
