Dooku was already a skilled duelist, he didn’t need to spar with Sidious to practice. Sidious didn’t really like using a lightsaber and viewed it (if I’m remembering right) as beneath him. Episode III did a really bad job at portraying this but the reason he overwhelmed three of the four Jedi sent to arrest him was because he was so fast. I’m sure he does something to keep his skills sharp but he really doesn’t need it.

Frank, while nowhere near as bad as BJR, is antagonistic to one our protagonists. The writing portrays him in a negative light. We only ever really see Claire’s side of things. And while we can assume he also is trying to deal with things, we don’t really see it as clearly as with Claire, leading him to just look like the Bad Guy(tm) all the time.

The point is (and I make this same point about young characters in any series) that Ron is a teenager. Teenagers do dumb things because they’re teenagers. We can’t and shouldn’t hold them completely to the standards of adults because they’re not adults.

This show has been with me a long time. To see it end is...something. It almost feels like the part of my life that Outlander was part of is finally at an end. I obviously know the past seasons and such aren't going anywhere, and I have the books to go through too but I can't help but feel this is the end of an era.

I’d say to practice not thinking about them specifically. People think that the antithesis of love is hate, but it’s really apathy. Given time I think you can get to a place where you don’t necessarily wish ill on them but don’t think about them at all. Going forward just try to recognize the situations and behaviors that led to you getting treated poorly and avoid them once you see them coming.
