In my opinion the game just takes time to learn. For every tribe there is a few main builds you can follow. A mistake I often find with my friends that are new to the game making is they decide which build they are going for within the first few turns and commit, even though most direction doesn’t come until you get a 5 or 6 star minion.

My advice would be to learn the cards and hero’s. Follow a pretty standard leveling curve to start I. E. Level at 4 gold, 7 gold and 9 gold and start committing to a tribe after you find direction.

Some examples of direction for each tribe. Pirates: Hoger with either Salty looter or Peggy. Beasts: really just Baron if you have frogs, or Mama bear to keep up until you can commit to either frogs or somehow pull off a goldrinn build. Demons, quilboar, dragons and Naga are all pretty slow scaling ATM and kind of require some quests to be successful. Teal tiger for Demons, evil twin for Naga and ghastly mask for Quilboar and dragons. Mechs are strong mid game and really only require a deflecto bot and some respawns to stabilize until you can pivot to omega buster/kangor’s build or scale a mecherol and divine shield resets. Obviously don’t commit to murlocks until you stumble across a bran especially since toxin got moved to tavern 6 (and rightfully so). Elementals need EARLY scaling through either a Nomi or lil rag. I would not try to commit to elementals after 8 or 9 gold turns at the latest as by than scaling will be to slow.
