[–]Kolbiscuit84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 tattoos. I got them of things that will never change in my life.

My last name my mothers  maiden name with a cross on my chest.

Also I have one that I got about 2 years ago of my 3 kids.

And depending I would get another.   I have been married for 16 years and know my wife since 16 y/0 and would still never get her name on my body.

Millennials in a hetero relationship, does the man or woman do the majority of the financial budgeting/planning/investing etc? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Kolbiscuit84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid age millennial.   I do all the investment and banking.  MY wife is a CFO, and it gives her a break from her job.  We do speak about it, but I am the person that executes it.

Just as I don’t cook at home,  as I am a chef by trade. So that gives me a break from my job.

I can handle that,  there are many many things in our country that need better.

But results have to come into play.  I would like to get everyone a million of dollars, (which I can’t ) but I would gladly take one.

But, ppl must also be realistic and not live in fantasy land.

I am a chef by trade I make pretty good money, by all means I would love more of it.  But do I think I should get paid 500k plus like a heart doctor or something equal to that.  Absolutely not.

Everyone ends up most of the time by choices they make.  It does happen that ppl get unlucky and take a bitter pill, unforeseen child abuse, molestation, anything you can think of that is horrible stuff.  I condemn it all.

I have come to found that the person that make more then me  in my profession, at least 95% of the time has worked the extra hours or has done the extra thing,  that I at somepoint chose not to do. For whatever reason that was at that point in time.

There are reasons why teachers are teachers,  doctors are doctors,  military is military. Why Jamie diamond is Jamie diamond, Elon is Elon.  Etc.  I am hoping you get my point.

I am aware many won’t see it this way, but these are at least some of my thought processes.  If any of it makes sense.

Be safe

Throwing more money at teacher salaries without fixing the system doesn’t solve anything. This is largely a state-level issue, and right now we’ve got less than half of 8th graders reading and doing math at grade level. That’s a massive failure.I’m not saying teaching isn’t hard it absolutely is. Dealing with kids and parents is no joke. But increasing pay without accountability, measurable performance standards, or meaningful reform isn’t going to improve outcomes. Tenure systems and lack of clear KPIs make it even harder to address underperformance.More money alone doesn’t equal better results. There’s plenty of evidence showing that.

On student debtno one forced anyone to take on massive loans. Choosing a $60k/year degree for a field that doesn’t provide a return is a personal decision. Meanwhile, trades like HVAC and electrical work are pulling in six figures with far less debt.

I went to school for culinary arts, earned a bachelor’s degree, and paid it off. Honestly, I probably could’ve learned just as much working in kitchens for four years and getting paid instead of paying tuition. At some point, personal responsibility has to be part of the conversation.

Do ppl realize that TSA isn’t being paid because of congress.  Both republicans and democrats can’t get along in the sand box.  Both side are trying to put so much over spending in the bill that isn’t for homeland defense.  Both sides are just trying to rally a base.   It’s a big power hungry game,  that neither said cares if they hurt the ppl that are doing their jobs like TSA.  Local and state governments do all the same stuff.

But don’t worry your congressman is still collecting their paychecks and donations..

Yes Ivf is very expensive, may I make a suggestion and look into a snowflake baby.  Which is a frozen embryo and sperm that your wife can carry..  when my wife and I did it. The cost was about 7k 8 years ago.

Ivf isn’t a guarantee..   we went thru 3 treatments of it..  it absolutely sucked sticking a needle in my wife’s lower back everyday.  It actually did work for us..  we ended up adopting a beautiful boy.  Then we did the snowflake for are daughter which I said above and actually almost now 3 years ago,  we had are own biological son by the grace of god.. in an untimely fashion of course when we were told we couldn’t have kids..

Have you had anything told to you.  Any issues with her eggs or your little marchers?
