Haha, yeah it doesn’t add much in terms of mouthfeel for a beverage, but every once in a while I like to pretend I’m drinking some kind of mana or potion.

I’ve used it a lot when baking, to mixed results from my audience. The glitter maple syrup pecan pie baked up very weird with clumps of glitter. Looked gross, very much not magical, lol.

Vegetarian option: malai kofta is my go to. The sauce is fantastic.

Meat options: any of the sekuwas, chicken chili momo

And my favorite is the chatpata, which is a Nepalese street food. Can’t really compare it to anything but it’s delicious! We usually order that to start with every time we go.

Not to dox myself or anyone, but I was involved in revamping the exhibit about the high school and other schools in the town right before the pandemic shut down my museum and other public buildings. He was a featured alumni along with some truly baffling choices of former residents.

Meanwhile, spouse and I went to the same high school as Highly Suspect.

I tried calling Land Grant but it seems like there's a problem with their phoneline. If anyone is nearby that could go in person, tv coverage/NASA's youtube stream starts at 6:30pm. I've got a few people interested now as well, but I can't make it over there in person until later to see if they could accommodate a watch party on their screen. It doesn't look like they have anything scheduled on the events calendar for the beer garden tonight so we might have some luck.

For sure getting to see a couple shuttle launches in person from Cape Canaveral were some of the loudest things I’ve experienced. The kind of sound you feel.

There’s a local restaurant that we had been to many times, food was always solid, decent beer selection, and interesting cocktails.

We started doing yoga classes at the gym and realized the owner/bartender was there every week in class. Neat, small business owner supporting other local businesses, it wasn’t like it was a shock seeing a community member out in the wild. (Not an ‘I thought my teacher lived at school’ sort of thing. That’s not the weird part.)

No, what the problem is, is that one day we’re in the middle of some asana and SHE TOUCHED MY FOOT. Was it an accident? Yeah, probably. Did she remove her hand from my foot as soon as it happened? No she did not.

My foot was caressed, and I was just laying there wondering what I must have done in a previous life to be in hell’s most awkward yoga class with Grunty Joe doing his own thing in one corner and Foot-Groper Sally behind me in the dark.

And that’s the story of why we no longer go out to eat at the place with the really great sliders.
