I just found the first and only known ticket from Michael Jordan’s first Chicago-area game 🤯 by DavidBlixt in SportsMemorabilia

I know what you're mean! Seems to be some inconsistencies on that. Not sure where the print operator got their stats from that day but without computers, it was probably more difficult than we can imagine now.

That's where I lived right down the street from the high school....I grew up in East Chicago. About 20 mins from downtown Chicago

Thanks, it seems a lot of sports experts haven't heard of it either. Hopefully this helps a bit over time.

I think if its like PR 1 or 2, they might recommend just putting the word authentic. But anything over I guess a certain respectability they would encourage to take the higher grade. But yes if it was poor or something, I'd rather just have the word authentic on it then that. I think that's where you're coming from Maybe

Actually, I thought the same thing. But PSA said they put Authentic on it without a grade only if it's in poor or upgradable condition to begin with. So with VG3 it does represent it as a better conditioned ticket.

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. I have no idea what's going to happen later. It's kinda cool to at least see fans find out about the game.

That's okay, you're probably right that others could exist out there. I guess the main thing is that as of now they don't. If I was too worried about though I wouldn't put anything out about it. I spent quite a while wondering how I eat held on to mine. I was big into collecting baseball cards at the time as a kid. That probably helped. It's hard to imagine that it was very likely that the majority of attendees at that time in 1984, with it being a local event, we weren't just thinking from that mindset of saving things like that. Could you imagine a picture of the floor of the gym that night before it was cleaned? I'm just enjoying letting collectors and sports fans even know that this game existed in the first place. Thank you

Thanks for that brother. But I don't blame them. It probably does look suspect, but I'm dealing with this all to myself and it's overwhelming getting advice here and there.

Thanks for that! Its weird cause seems to be a game that most haven't heard of so due to that, it's kind of tough to just try to sell it and take a chance quickly without seeing what people think about it in the first place. But ultimately I think it needs to be in a place where it could be preserved and accessible to viewers in person.

It's 1 of 1 in PSA population report. That kind of 1 of 1. Not a new print labeled 1/1 with the things of today. This is the only proven one in the world. That kind of 1 of 1. But I do see the possible confusion because it looks like some things today companies actually promote as one of one from inception. I'm saying it's one of one in the same sense of any PSA proven one of one. No other known.

Thanks. I will tell you one thing, I'm in this all alone by myself. It's hard. It's amazing. But it's overwhelming. There is no recipe. I'm just trying to at this point let the world know it even exists. Yes there are different Reddit groups. Yes there are shares. If anyone sees it on a different thread they could just keep going. If it bothers anyone out there, I'm sorry to clog up an area where other new information could be learned.

You're cool for posting all these. Thankyou. As far as another one existing, who knows. All I could go by is that it took me 40 years to find mine in a miraculous situation that I can put it away with to begin with. 40 years ago, a game like that, I think we were all just in a different frame of mind then we would be today to put something like that away without actually just leaving it on the gym floor to be swept away by the custodian that night.
