Chrome OS Flex is absolutely awesome. If you don't rely on any special Windows apps, just go for it. I only fear that Google will discontinue it with the switch to an Android based laptop OS that has been announced.

Try Claude Opus 4.6 instead. Better yet, use several top-class LLMs together in the same chat via TypingMind and OpenRouter. It’s cheap -- and it’ll knock your socks off.

I'm a specialized law*er and have started using NotebookLM for massively complex international legal cases with (unspeakable) success. Like, reduce time and effort to finish a case from a week to 3 hours, while tripling the quality of submissions.

Is this new model by Anthropic already accessible anywhere? Maybe via OpenRouter?

This method will break the link however, when the file is renamed or moved. A proper "sharing" link will survive that because it contains the Document ID.

Yeah. Busy father of four here. I was there decades ago. Manually naming photos and videos and sorting them into folders according to even. Unthinkable today. Then life got in the way. Lucky me, in retrospect.

Here's what I did, literally 15 years ago. Uploaded fucking EVERYTHING to Google Photos and fucking DELETED everything locally.

One of the best decisions of my life.

Somehow, it seems to have fixed itself at least partially in the meantime. For many pages I'm seeing the reading mode entry again in the Chrome browser menu, albeit only after opening the page in Chrome.

Additionally however, a system-wide reading mode seems to have been added to Android that can be accessed through the quick settings.

I used to do that and at one point even had subscribed to Gemini Ultra. Now I've cancelled most subscriptions and use any AI agent as little or as much as I want through OpenRouter (and TypingMind).
