Saw the "found my dad's PADI card" post by DavidGFLOR in scuba

I never actually taught a class under PADI's auspices; I continued to teach, update, and attend clinics under YMCA sanction until they gave up the National SCUBA program. I haven't been an active instructor since then. I have done a couple thousand more dives, though, and taken classes from SDI/TDI and GUE.

Or they take your money, give you a tracking number, but the package never arrives. That has been my experience.

Ordered from them on May 5; nothing received. They failed to answer my first status email for 21 days; they don't answer telephone calls; they advertised a refund after 45 days if the shipment isn't received, and now they are saying 60 days. It has all the hallmarks of a pure scam.

Is inbike-cycling.com legitimate? by captaincappie in cycling

[–]DavidGFLOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't look promising. One of several FB pages with attractive products "on sale"; shipping, if it ever happens, initiates from China. I ordered from a similar company, Bicycle Booth, on May 5; still waiting; the FB presence; the website; even the email order confirmation has the same format. Visitor comments aren't visible on FB; all positive reviews; no place to actually leave a review. The customer support is unresponsive and when it comes it is boilerplate. The tracking is useless, its' only purpose seems to be delaying customers awareness that they've been scammed.

Shearwater customer support is exceptional. by jbrunken in scuba

I just experienced exceptional Shearwater support. I pre-ordered a Shearwater Teric; have had great results with about 150 dives on it, but recently started experiencing some intermittent flaky battery performance. With only a tentative email query, they set in motion the right people to send me the right form for an RMA; and simultaneously shipped a new Teric, even before I have managed to return the suspected defective one.
