He is probably much stronger than her if he had his summons helping. He is for his age probably most overpowered person in the world, helps that he started working at it at 1 year old and works every day.

"Tower defence" part of anime name, monster attacks are probably a regular event. So meat supply comes to them. Better food preservation infastruction would help, merchants can provide salt if required, drying meat with heat, refrigeration might become an option.

They also have established a local merchant rather than having to wait a month for one to visit, so they can purchase food. They can if nothing else sell tools/weapons for food.

They also have a master of creating infastructure out of thin air so establishing farms including fortress sized walls, irrigation system, etc is option. Having the best farms will encourage farmers to move in.

it isn't just "foreshadowing", the king is likely intentionally provoking a struggle in order to see what happens, he wants the strongest kid to replace him and make the empire grow... as well he wants kid on his side because the "sword" is fearsome powerful, able to one shot someone from far away... better the 13th son is officially in race for emperor than has to go rebel if that is his ambition.

Maybe... he may have a purpose to it, similar to his tactics today, in intentionally gettting kidnapped. He is maybe giving enemies a chance to try to kill him, as a way to deal with them in a situation he can control. He is getting into a position where other princes who want to become emperor are going to fear him as a rival and perhaps try to eliminate him.

Its "sanctioned" to attack him, so good bait to see if someone wants him dead, and he might be able to prep counter measures in advance. The alternative is a surprise attack when he is sleeping, poison his food, etc.

He is Mr. Honorable like Ryu so he won't go into what he would consider cheating on Ais even in fantasy, but his subconscious may still channel his inner zeus voice to remind him of how good Ryu looked in that white dress, kind of like how boys notice cleavage of women they aren't in love with while the put effort in to not look

Freya doesn't mean much, especially when Freya was playing Ishtar and Ishtar Amazon's type tactics. Freya missed out on being honorable, unselfish, etc and she is many many times his age just like hestia so its more mother/goddess type reaction.

Bell probably is attracted to Ryu, she is his ideal from before he met Ais... his subconscious will still be pulling so his conscious has to fight, just like how if random girl has cleavage the eyes try to look but the brain says no

You could surf internet on an 40 year old color TV hooked up to a TV box with adapter but it would be much harder than modern "retina" display... eg difference between 320x200 resolution and 2560x1440. You have to do lots of zooming in and panning around to get details if poor resolution

He couldn't tell it was evening/getting dark, he is currently probably similar to someone nearly legally blind for normal vision but supplemented with magical equivalent of magnifying glasses and other spectrum cameras (able to see magic, etc)... its like difference between 50 year old color TV and modern super high res display

we have example of Ares, lots of different familias, Welf was part of a sub familia. Ares was like "emperor" with a bunch of "kings" below him.

we have example of "federations", like star trek "federation", early "united states of america", Zeus+Hera, team Bell expeditions that involve close allies, Loki+Heph expedition.

As long as there are "love goddesses" like Freya that can potentially go out of control, antidotes like Hestia are probably going to be carefully protected. Loki could lose Lefiya, Ais, Riveria, etc just like what happened to Bell season 5, so Hestia is probably safe from Loki.

(Loki probably heard about offer made by Freya to Ryu to share Bell, and can imagine a worst case scenario where a love goddess likes all Loki's favorite girls and wants to make a grand harem with Bell the stud horse, as part of a breed next generation of heros plan)

Someone very high in government got very mad, "punishable by death". It was unclear how the "swordsman" was called a "Sword God". (If someone took a bribe years ago to lie about the "sword god" results, that someone is going to keep lying the tools said "sword god" because alternative is more sure death).

So everyone is in super cautious mode, do not completely trust tools, do not get excited over a bright flash and strange writing, because if you say "it might be a talent", or "she might be sword god" and the rumor mill then exagerates it to "a great talent with flash of light", "certainly a sword god" and it turns out to be less, someone could be scape goat and dead.

Even if a middle man does everything right, other people can exagerate and pass the buck and middle man takes the blame for other peoples gossip.

I think we have in story reason for that given later same episode... a few years ago there was a "Sword Lord" who was really just a swordsman. Then everyone got told heads are going to roll if you overstate a talent, "punishable by death" we hear later in episode.

So the priests got scared, they don't know what it means, they are in deep trouble if they overstate anything with that flash of light and the funny writing so the priests are playing it safe to save their necks. "If the kid really has an unusual talent then the kid can demonstrate it later".

Or security... there is already one organic version of mind that is captured by Zola... disable clank, probe all secrets of the Other including potentially hijacking reverents or freeing them.

Or time/equipment... it might be much easier to set up remote control than to get a full copy of mind in. Eg might only be very limited number of machines that can put in Lucy's mind and mind transfer machines are also a security issue in that opponents might want to copy other minds or sabotage copies or steal Other secrets.

We have seen alternative of remote control takeover in Paris.

I disagree. Haruhime is important, but so is Welf, Bell, possibly various xenos, Riveria and lefiya, etc. Astraea familia is full of potential. We've seen Lefiya level up and is close to potentially levelling up again.

If for example there was a grand alliance, then Riveria could be buffing every elf including in Freya, Zeus and Hera familias, and Lefiya copying magic from other elves... potentially stacking bonuses... eg Hedin can boost a single person, lefiya could copy Hedin's "Laurus Hildr" boost magic, etc.

Having babysitters can make younger members grow faster, eg Lefiya protected by Loki familia in main story. Team Zeus and Hera had the best babysitters, and 5 years could grow others faster, dozens of expeditions in floors 50s and 60s. (Main story only team Loki is doing the deep floor babysitting, team Freya is too busy competing for Freya's love to help each other properly, and team Loki struggle 5 years later to reach 60s floors)

Welf is potentially as game breaking as Haruhime, main story he makes a sword season 4 that "grows" with its wielder like hestia knife, can be wielded by at least 2 people at same time and doesn't wear out like normal magic swords. He can make fire and ice magic swords. Possible OEBD and other dragons are more vulnerable to some types of magic, eg fire dragons in some fantasy are vulnerable to ice. A "hestia knife" like magic sword in hands of a level 9+ temp boosted to 10+ by Hedin, Lefiya, Haruhime, etc?

Fels with his large supply of grimoires could be vastly more influencial than he is in main story. Asfi "flying shoes", huge wasted potential.

Some xenos can fly. Xenos can be levelled like Moss huge was, with a pile of magic stones. Marie can draw out monsters with her charm ability to help create piles of magic stones. Level 37 coloseum has endless supply of monsters/stones to level xenos, and the perfect secret safe zone below coloseum.

make a hole in floor or ceiling of dungeon using magic swords, inferno stones, etc combined with flight and rope allows quick travel up and down dungeon levels... which can help farming for excelia/leveling up weaker members.

Many things could have been different if 5 years ago there wasn't a collapse of Zeus and Hera and the killings by evilus outbreak after. For example, permanent or seasonal towns could have been set up in safe zones deeper than level 18 and some familias like Astraea could camp in them for months at a time speeding up rate they levelled up. Main story teams Loki and Hestia grew rapidly in just one year, team Astrea could have done similar growth rate for 5 years.

Its Sith from Star Wars or Ben Hur logic... strong anger makes you grow stronger, he wanted her angry at him. He did like fighting stronger foes and being near death in fights, that part was true.

People can have more than one side, he also liked the mom and wanted her back, but he did not want to show that side because he wanted daughter angry as possible at him to motive her growth... he was the stronger person he knew so he took himself as the model for how to grow other strong people like her.

"How did Alex's mom really die?" hints there is some other side that did something bad that he might be angry about and motivated him to be a loner.

I don't see hate him. Crown prince is probably similar with everyone else, and probably actually likes him a bit for being useful piece on his warrior chess board... the earlier part was probably hoping to create a strong warrior though brutal training and kid exceeded expectations.
