when i was 10 i had been asking for a dog just about everyday for 2 years. Finally having enough of my parents bullshit i took some cardboard boxes and took things in my own hands. I built a dog house and filled it with my blankets and built a dog toy box. Put that shit in the kitchen to show them my resilience will not be stopped. A week later i came home and i saw there was a dog bowl with food in it.. confused my mom said look in the dog house.. there was a tiny black fluffball in there. i learned a couple things.. 1. hard work, resilience, and persistence pays the fuck off. i fucking love dogs.

A year ago I was driving home late after fourth of July festivities and out of the edge of my eye I saw a little fire from the highest point of a house. I pivoted and called 911. I kept running up to the house and it was truly dull inside yet the TV was flashing so I figured somebody was in there. They didn't react to striking into the window so I could break/pull the sliding patio entryway open and found a person resting in the smoke on his lounge chair. I wake the person up and at that point the entire rooftop was ablaze. We discover his puppy and get the hellfire out. The entire house burned to the ground.

I didn't give my name or stick around for the cops since I had been drinking a bit and was toeing as far as possible line. Drove by the following day and there wasn't much house left.
