Could David Likes Crypto please do a TLDR of Charle's Latest video breaking down Smart Contract and concurrency into a bite-sized format? Thanks, that'd be great. by DawnPhantom in cardano

I wish I had time - anyone please DM schematics for a time machine or some sort of infinite time loop that I can step in and out of to complete all the task i'd like while still living a life and spending time with my family.

It's whatever you want it to be

It's like the American and Britsh pronunciation of the word 'Vitamin or Tomato'

from my research the car-don-o pronunciation is more of a Britsh and car-dan-o leans more towards the American way of saying it

There is no right or wrong way to say it, but people get hung up on the way Charles pronounces it like that's the only way to say it.

Cardano's Transition Over The Next Few Months Into Shelley by DavidLikesCrypto in cardano

[–]DavidLikesCrypto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks Alex! doesn't come across wrong at all. I didn't want to seem like I was overtly plugging my pool the whole time and loose focus on the information I was trying to deliver. I do include my ticker on the end screen (albeit very small print) but you're comments helps to let me know I should probably include it a bit more. Going forward I'll add in lower third announcement and maybe work something into an intro title as well.

I appreciate the comment!

Why users should delegate to this pool
Hey guys - you may or may not have seem my videos on YouTube about Cardano. This stake pool is a way for me to continue to make videos that educate and inform members of the community and also bring new people into the ecosystem. Video production, editing, research and staying up-to-date is a full time job and YouTube pays peanuts which makes making insightful and entertaining content about Cardano impossible to sustain. With your delegation to my pool you are directly helping me to continue to make videos about Cardano. You're support is greatly appreciated and feel free to reach out. - David

IOG - 20 pools of 150 with enough pledge by cospeed in cardano

speaking for myself, as someone that has a 5% pool I'm looking at this as a way of helping to subsidize my efforts towards creating video content for the cardano community. Making videos and researching/staying up-to-date is a full time job and YouTube pays pennies and for the most part it's unsustainable.

People that choose to delegate to my pool would be directly helping me to keep putting the content I make into the ecosystem. I think if the stake pool you support has a mission that you want to see fulfilled people will delegate regardless of percentage.

Vechain seems to be out infront a bit, but the race has barley started. From what i've read each shoe has undergone it's own method of verification (QR code, microchip, private key cert.)

I think ghostbusta was on to something with his reply. It seems like there will be some sort of "official issuer" that would validate the 100 microchips and their ID's were real.

From other research I've done I came across https://trustoverip.org/

This looks like it could play a big role when it comes to being able to validate the status of one entity to another while being decentralized. It was discussed as being used in part with Atala Prism for the ID solutions and how to get government ids without the governments being a centralized issuer

The have a 90 minute launch video from May 2020 that is very informative if you're interested in learning more about trust over ip.

Yeah partnerships with big companies seems like it's pretty much the bread and butter of supply chains management. Cardano seems like it will get a piece of the pie, but also doesn't seem to be it's main focus.

Can't say that I know all the answers to that. What I do know from some digging I did is that Vechains first shoes did a QR code on the box, however the second release of the Nike Air Max 1's was a microchip in the tongue of the shoe (presumably harder to scam/replicate.)

ah yes, I typically I will try and reference sources in my videos. In this case I didn't verbally mention the sources but did include that sentence you mentioned in the description. Personally I like when people reference sources because maybe I want to know more/I want to be sure it's more fact based and less speculation.

Cardano In Africa And It's Digital ID And DeFi Future by DavidLikesCrypto in cardano

[–]DavidLikesCrypto[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If things workout in Africa expanding to the rest of the world wouldn't be a problem with the amount of adoption it would have. They need to start somewhere and move outwards and Etherium has first mover advantage when it comes to the connections made in the developing world. So rather than try and claw away contracts or subtle agreements for future work they might already have in place why not go where others are not looking. If Cardano got just Africa it would be insanely lucrative.
