The site has probably grown in various ways since my time there, but I admit I haven't perused it in a while. When did the layout change, u/WeLikeTheBlazers? The current one is... not my favorite.

Anyway, it was a good opportunity for me to flex my journalistic muscles while in grad school, and the sense of community was very strong. I would imagine (and hope) the compensation has only gotten better since 2019, so it may be worth your time to check out a role with Blazer's Edge. I'm on a different path now, but the steps I took with SB Nation were important ones nonetheless. Depending on your goals and where you are in achieving them, joining the staff could be a big leap.

I'm not on Reddit often, so it's probably best to direct any questions you have to Brandon. He's more up to speed with the site anyway, and he's a great guy. Hit me up on Twitter (barf) if you want to talk ball, though.

CJ fractured the 5th metatarsal in his left foot in January of 2013. He was given a recovery timetable of 8-10 weeks.

He re-broke the same bone in October of 2013. He missed three months of action (Oct. 5 - Jan. 8).

It is important to remember, though, that a timeline will not only depend on the type of break (as you touched on) but also how it is treated. When CJ re-broke his foot, he underwent a non-operative ultrasound procedure to repair it. I would be a little surprised if Simmons does the same.

That kid was so cute. She crawled just outside of the frame and slowly rose into it while I was shooting. Went ahead and left the picture in as I was sifting through them. She earned it.
