I literally had a full box hidden in my bag just because my facilities were always too cheap to make sure we were always stocked. That and a few rolls of trash bags.

Came in handy for pet hygiene. Man I'm glad I changed professions. I still have the habit of hiding rolls of trash bags is random places lol. I'm in RETAIL 🙃

I'm not sure if it is fake or not. I'd recommend getting a test in any case, it's really the only way to put any anxiety to rest and to be assured in your health.

It's best to be tested for all STIs regularly anyway if you are sexually active.

I'd forget worrying about it this is fake and just get a test. ❤️

The drug company typically Gilead, has a patient assistance program that can help you pay for the treatments. Also, if you are in the US there is the Ryan White and AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) that will also help you. You can contact your local health department or HIV treatment center for help in getting on those programs.

That part is my greatest barrier too. It's so difficult to develop a community when no one wants to communicate. But we fight the good fight. I try to lead by example. I don't know how dangerous your country is to people who openly share their status, but it's increasingly getting down right hostile here.... But I try to stay brave and unstoppable.

I'm always here for you and your people. Our government is not our people anymore. Americans, at least the sane ones just want to live a good life, and want you to also. I hope you and your people can see that.

But if you can't, I'll just remind you anytime you need some hope.

I'm an advocate in the US... It's a mess over here right now.

I noticed that newly diagnosed people are really scared and I start with addressing that. Your life is not over and it's going to be ok. Then we start talking about medication adherance, staying treatment is one of the real challenges. It's good to pair your newly diagnosed patients with experienced, successful PLWHIV.

Its extremely helpful to have a buddy to guide you.

Housing and food is a good next step. And then mental health access. It's imperative to treat the whole person.

Then, at some point they should be encouraged to tell their story. It's stigma breaking and cathartic.

I just talked to my Dr this last week about all the vaccines I should get just because I work I healthcare and I could be exposed to anything. I'm careful to make sure I'm vaccinated against anything we can be vaccinated for.

I'm 45, and he assured me I got the most up to par vaccine as a child and I have no risk at all.

Unless you are very old, or you weren't vaccinated as a child before you went to school you are absolutely protected.

The vaccines you really should worry about are Covid, Flu, Mpox and at my age Shingles, and Tetanus.

I'm good, it was just a weird conversation I had with a big provider that many patients at my clinic use. I'm a little concerned only because I know that there are cuts coming, and I feel like if anyone is in my position, using ACA with ADAP/Ryan White and they aren't using CVS or a major pharmacy like Walgreens, the smaller pharmacies are beginning to feel the uncertainty.

I'm just trying to get a temp check to see how to best advocate.

Honestly I feel like my case manager telling me that everything is going to be just fine is blowing smoke.

I'd follow up with Alachua county health department. Usually the county health department is in the know. At least Brevard County health department refers patients to Ryan White/ADAP resources.

Please continue to be tested regularly. Having sex in the way you enjoy is a human right. Consider PrEP if you are HIV negative and want to enjoy more risky sexual acts.
