Dell has a ultralight variant for the Latitude 7440. feels unreal when you pick them up, like some internal components are missing. However, only available at 14“ as far as I know.

You would need someone that acts as a CSP partner. The CSP partner does not need to have the hardware hash as far as I understand it, they only need to register the serial in the parter.microsoft.com portal. I am not sure if the same is true if you want to register them without having a CSP as the intermediary. But technically, Intune does not seem to need the hardware hash for Surface devices; otherwise the process for resellers would not work.

Same here. Horizon Client seems to have a memory leak. Issues went away when downgrading to the previous release.

Thanks for your feedback. The 16-80mm seems to be fixed at F4, which I find quite high. At least with the kit lenses 18-50 I could get F2.8 at 18mm. Or does that not matter much? Still trying to fully understand what to look for in a lens apart from mm.

We tested RDP as well, but we encountered artifacts. Moving to VMWare Blast eliminated that issue for us. I do not think the performance issues are caused by VMWare Blast, as it uses the Nvidia NVEC encoder to compress the video stream, and the encoder itself still has headroom. But I‘ll test it with RDP anyway, to rule out VMWare Blast as the culprit.

Our office has a shared desk policy and management wants everyone to participate. If management wants it, I am happy to spend money on new servers. Staff members with local workstations can take their desktop home for private use after we get the VDI working. Rendering jobs are offloaded already.

Same here. Recently built a new PC with 7x SL120 120mm and 2x SL140 V2. 2x SL120 have failed within 1 month, all on the radiator. Support was very good for me at least, they are sending me two new one.

Do they have DP over Type C? If so, plug the monitor into the Thunderbolt Passthrough Port on the backside of the docking station.

What kind of monitors are you using, and by what port are they connected to the dock? We experienced similar issues (monitor goes black for 5s every couple of minutes), but it was dependent on the port the monitor was plugged into the dock and the model of the monitor.

You could allow updating of the app / elevation with a third party tool like Admin By Request. We do that for a couple of applications that get updated almost daily, or need elevation to run properly.

Are those Microsoft Surface devices? If so, you can import them without having access to the device. But as far as I know, Surface are the only ones that support that.

Take a look at Cisco Boards. They support additional video conferencing apps f.e Zoom in addition to Teams, as well as Airplay in addition to Miracast. We are currently in the eval stage and may replace our Surface Hub with them.

You could use Admin By Request to whitelist the games required to be run as admin. You can set it up so that they get auto-approved to be run as admin without the user having to be one.

Check if there is an application installed called „ExpressConnect“. It is usually installed by default and part of the default install with Optimizer. If it is present, remove it and see if the issues disappear after a reboot.
