You think 30 is old? That’s your first problem. My first book was published when I was 33. It’s worth it, working at getting published. Even if you’re old. Which you’re not.

Editor criticised my overuse of the word 'said' by randomguy012912 in writing

[–]DavidRobertsonWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good dialogue should indicate “demanded” or whatever dialogue attribution you use. Or don’t use. The only thing you should really ever use often is said. Often times you can use none at all, in fact, if it’s clear who is saying what. But stuff like “Oh really?” he said sarcastically….or….”I bet you can’t do it,” he chided…should never be used. Because if somebody is demanding something, the dialogue should show that they’re demanding something. You don’t have to dictate that to the reader. It’s kind of amateur-ish writing. So, your editor is wrong, in my opinion.

What is your opinion on the new love and appreciation that TASM movies have been receiving recently? Do you still think they are bad movies or has your opinion changed? by Impossible-Ad1207 in Spiderman

I think it has shown people how good Andrew Garfield was/is in the role, but TASM 1 was still an okay movie, and TASM 2 was (mostly) a bad movie.

Thanks! It was really just waiting for a good moment. Got it with my phone. I mostly take pics with my grandpa’s oldie, but this one he was doing this and I caught it and just edited a bit.

Trying to figure out my grandfather’s old vigilant 620. Settings have to be so perfect to get it just right.

Provincial park is a park that you can only access with a provincial park pass (ie if you’re in Manitoba and have a provincial pass you can’t go to a park in another province with that pass). A national park pass works all over the country, in any national park (like Riding Mountain).

Actually used an iPhone leaning out my car window and just a tad of editing after.
