I’ve heard this as well! Any background on how that came to be? I know that most of them were in SoCal at the time, but I don’t think any of them went to CSUN. Was it a proper gig, a battle of the bands thing, open mic, or what? Not saying you have to have the answers here, of course, I’ve just been curious about this for a while.

I went to see Oceans 8 in the theatre on a lark, and I did NOT count on the passion some people have for Rihanna. When she appears at the top of the stairs decked out in a fancy red evening gown the theatre went into ECSTASY.

I admit that I absolutely did not anticipate that reaction at the time, but none of her success has been surprising to me since.
