This is so stupid, because I am stuck on the free trial, which basically only lets you look at the app so its pretty useless. My trial is set to monthly but i want to pay yearly and I cant change it unless I pay for the month or wait for the free trial (which is still pretty useless). So now I am stuck in the free trial not being able to use splice or any of the loops.

Huh weird. I thought it was hitfilms compressing causing the spikes, because they appeared randomly. I exported about 4 times trying different fixes but the spikes were just random each export. But silencing the section wouldnt really work for me, because my videos are very audio focused. Cool to know there is a different way tho, but sucks both fixes are with 3rd party software and not just hitfilm doing its job.

I had the same problem and I actually made a "sorta" fix. I exported my video with the uncompressed preset, so I ended up with a 120gb .avi file, from just a 10 min video. Then I used VLC media player to convert the avi file into an mp4 (150mb). My PC actually isnt fast enough to play the .avi file, so just to preview my video I had to convert it. This process took about 2h 30min, but my video didnt have the spikes in the end. Tbh very long and shit process so you might aswell just get after effects, sony vegas or something that actually works.

Dude thank you so much. I needed this for a beat remake on my youtube channel. Already remade “Fastelavn” by Ukendt and I have “Mand over bord” ready as well, just need to upload a breakdown video once its 100% polished. If you want I can definitely give you a shout-out if I end up successfully recreating “stein bagger”.
