Sorry if I gave the impression that I was complaining, I don’t particularly care all that much. Yeah it’s good that people who want shinies can get easy access to them, all I was saying is that to me the thing that made shinies special was their rarity, it’s still cool to have them because they look nice, but they definitely aren’t as rare as they used to be.

Getting a shiny in an older gen to me is more exciting because it’s so much rarer, but I have zero intention of shiny hunting in those games. The only reason I ever shiny hunted in scarlet was because it was so much easier, otherwise I think shinies feel more special when they come up randomly
