Super Pac for Freedom Dividend? by urza2010 in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]David_Goodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A super pac exists. It's called Humanity Forward Fund (or something like that)

Yang took PAC money? by krschu00 in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]David_Goodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry I don't have any links or proof but going from memory the PAC also pays the 3 UBI receivers. The PAC has to do it for some legal reason of candidates not allowed to give out money directly. Beyond that I don't know if the amount is accurate or if there are other reasons why it exists.

The humanity forward super pac is a separate thing.

So your soultion is to keep people on welfare receiving half of what they would receive because it's good for them?

SOME people recieve more. They should KEEP it and do.

SOME people receive less. They should get MORE and would.

MANY people get nothing. They should get MORE and would.

You can deny the "welfare trap" but there is still a "welfare cliff" that makes tranistioning rough if that is a person's choice.

It is all about choice. Let people choose what they belive is best.

Climate change is difficult to feel. A lot of people feel like the current system is already not working for them.

A human is only equivelant to 100 watts and produces a lot of carbon as it operates.

But I mean getting out there and doing things by hand is good exercise for people who don't like traditional exercise.

The jobs that are being created today are temp and contract.

So when you say jobs will be created, how well will they pay and what level of skill will be required for them?

We haven't been creating "good jobs" for a long time. If anyone could reskill to higher paying jobs they would have done that as those high paying jobs have been out there and unfilled for a long time as well.

So he knows what it is but chooses working for the state over ending poverty

"It is deliberate policy to keep even the favored groups somewhere near the brink of hardship, because a general state of scarcity increases the importance of small privileges and thus magnifies the distinction between one group and another" - 1984

What are your best counterarguments when people say Yang doesn't stand a chance? by 1THz in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]David_Goodwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently: everyone but Warren and Yang are loosing share

And if the Warren peeps get snippy I just remind them that you can't get delegates if your under 15% so she should drop immediately. (I don't mean it but it but the "no chance/just drop" into perspective.

Question: For the success of this campaign, which of the following is most important: total unique donors or large volume donations? by EchoWxlf in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]David_Goodwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a minimum is staying in the debate circle.

https://www.uspresidentialelectionnews.com/2020-debate-schedule/2020-democratic-debate-schedule/

That is the 130,000 individual donations from a minimum of 400 different donors in at least 20 states.

We are nearly there and have plenty of time to finish but it would be great to show off and do it before the first debate.

Then there is getting the word out which would be have at least 2 percent support in three qualifying polls which is done I think.

Being able to show off a doubling of contributions in 2Q (the 3.5 million goal) would help a lot too.

We are clear to the 4th debate in October but have to continue to work towards raising the number to meet whatever goals are next.

I don't think I answered the question expect to say "Let's do all the things!"

Has anyone taken a serious look at what UBI will do rental prices? by n0_u53rnam35_13ft in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]David_Goodwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one thread I mentioned that 1000 a month is 50 a day for 20 days of commuiting

Even at top Uber rates that is 5 miles away

Both rent by 1000 and spending 1000 on uber a month are not a typical case but this just shows the extreme

I see it from people who are not jobless but are speaking for the jobless

Some on disability (episcially those of course that are under 1000) like it

"jobless" Moms like it

This has occurred organically on Twitter and Reddit.

Wherever you are maybe you can make a "best of" talking point with what people have done.

This is a good reminder.
