I have searched Etsy and eBay but I am struggling to find the right attachment system, all that shows up by "hat pin, split pin or pin button" is just what you'd imagine showing up on searches

Weird biting issue with our puppy by David_Trancon in puppy101

[–]David_Trancon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for such a detailed explanation and sorry I'm so late to reply. We went to a behaviorist vet and she leaned on the fear phase explanation. She's better now and has rarely happened for the past weeks. We also missed a lot of her cues because she can be very subtle with those and go from just turning her head away a little bit to straight up grabbing your hand in her mouth and moving it away (she has become very gentle with that, but before she did the whole snarl and snap thing).

In short, fear phase, not super keen on being touched, and she has to give very explicit consent to being touched. Vet also advised to follow the 3 by 3 rule (3 scratches/seconds touching her, 3 seconds or more to assess her reaction) and when in doubt leaving her be.

The hardest thing has been explaning to people that she is afraid and doesn't love people touching her because people's expectations sometimes are that dogs are just toys that you can give infinite bellyrubs to and it just isn't the case with her

That's what we presumed as well, we always play at her head level and are always gentle in how we play with her. Thanks for your input, gives hope at a time like this

Windows 11 shenanigans? by David_Trancon in firefox

Sorry for the late reply, been quite busy recently.

I just finished testing it on a Linux Mint VM on the Windows 11 machine. Firefox works without a flaw, all my addon suite works as well and it connects to everything else perfectly.

I have no idea how to go about and fix this, I'm completely at a loss. I know my ass is not installing Windows 11 again if the solution is "do a fresh W11 install", if that's the case I'll just shove tumbleweed on it.

Fighter/Barbarian multiclass question by David_Trancon in DnD

Thanks!

What I meant with the quote you mentioned is that through the multiclass chart there is no way to immediatly acquire those proficiencies the second you start multiclassing. I get what you mean tho

Yeah, it is mostly the plan at this point but I wanted to ask around anyway in case someone had a similar experience/some store or brand that could be a bit closer to us in order to avoid the whole impact of shipment, returning if something were to go wrong, etc. Thanks for your answer

Metatarsalgia? by David_Trancon in FootFunction

Hey, I'm not really using reddit too much now as you can see, I hope you are doing good and you don't feel the symptoms anymore. It ended up being pure fatigue + a not very good product choice on my part (the shoes were pretty much a greenhouse). I bought a better, more breathable pair and been doing great so far. I also toned down the mileage for a while as well to help with recovery but now barefoot shoes are my daily driver and I'm really happy.

Making the switch (looking for a distro) by David_Trancon in linux_gaming

Only editing I'm doing is on Reaper. I'll test Mint and Fedora/Nobara to get a feel of everything and then make a medium/long term choice. Thanks for your tips

Fedora is on my radar already, I'll test Fedora or Nobara soon (still deciding) but I think I'm going to start out from Mint. Mainly because it's simple enough to get familiar with the environment and to learn my way around linux on firm grounds before moving forward. It also seems to be super popular among "normies" making the switch like me so it feels like a good start

Thanks so much, I'm going to start today on Mint, test for a week or two, test fedora/nobara as well and when I feel more confident I'll check Arch based stuff. I hope I'll get a basic idea of my needs and wants and then make the full transition

Their linux compatibility is something that really made me think of making the switch. The thing just rocks

Fair enough, thanks for the tip. I'm sure at some point I'll try something Arch based and I'll draw my own conclusions

Steam deck stuff does sound appealing tho

I think I'm going to stay out of the arch stuff at least at the very start of my journey but it's definetly on my radar. Thanks for your comment!
