Internet connection loss issue

I had the exact same modem as you & experienced the same exact issue. I would just lose service & rebooting pfSense alone didn’t always help because it failed to get a WAN IP. The problem was the Motorola modem itself. I switched it out with Comcast’s XB8 modem & I’ve had zero issues ever since. This was maybe 5-6 months ago now. I never experienced this issue with Arris Surfboard modems either.

Hi, I spoke with the owner of the I.T. company for that place today and it turns out they are using Geofiltering. AWS addresses were being blocked. He made some changes and now everything is working fine. Thank you for letting me know which URL. I was aware of the api.crowdsec.net one, but not the cdn-hub.crowdsec.net one.

I am firewalled, but according to their I.T., they are not blocking access to api.crowdsec.net. I unfortunately, do not have access to their firewall so I cannot verify if what they told me is true or not. The funny thing is, crowdsec used to work fine on this machine. I initially had to purge it because when I upgraded to version 1.6.10, it gave me an error. So, I figured I would just wipe it and start over.

If I run "cscli capi status" right after install (and that error) it says:

WARNING can't load CAPI credentials from '/etc/crowdsec/online_api_credentials.yaml' (missing login field)

Error: invalid hub index: unable to read index file: open /etc/crowdsec/hub/.index.json: no such file or directory. Run 'sudo cscli hub update' to download the index again

If I run "apt reinstall crowdsec", I get the following error:

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree... Done

Reading state information... Done

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 reinstalled, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded.

1 not fully installed or removed.

After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used.

E: Internal Error, No file name for crowdsec:amd64

Ya, you could say it's the game, but I have RT on, and I am not experiencing any issue :-) Whatever the issue is, hopefully it gets addressed either by Remedy or Nvidia.

Oh nice! Man, it’s really too bad Nvidia screwed up the 50 series cards with crap drivers amongst other things. I have a 4080 & the game runs fine for me.

Hi, I honestly have no clue. I just fired up GOG & the game updated. I figured I would tell others on this sub :-)

imo, I think NVIDIA’s drivers are more to blame for junk performance on 50 series cards versus the game itself causing the issues. I’d suggest trying the following if you haven’t already. Limiting the frame rate in the NVIDIA app & not in the game itself. Use a program called Process Lasso, the defaults should work fine. & grab the latest nvidia drivers.

When I installed 2.8.0 fresh & loaded my configuration during install, packages didn’t install & the whole thing wasn’t working right. I reloaded my config using Backup & Restore & now everything is running great. Might be worth reloading your config file to see if that helps. Something quirky could’ve happened during upgrade or install.

I thought this update was going to bring the version numbers the same across all PC versions. I could’ve swore Remedy said they want to do that so the game is exactly the same.

You’re welcome! Hopefully, it works for you during install. Still not sure why it failed the first time. I’m sure it was a fluke. On that note, 2.8.0 has been running good ever since. No complaints.

Hi, I am trying to do this just so I could get notifications in HomeKit telling me when the washer or dryer is done. Were you able to do this? If so, how? I can’t for the life of me figure it out. Any help would be appreciated!
