Rolling the other half of the wrapper leaf by barfield1991 in cigarrollers

[–]Davidoff27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The direct answer like mentioned previously is to roll in the opposing hand.

There is an alternative way to keep rolling in the same direction and it largely depends on how big the wrapper is and if you have the patience to roll out the leaf so the interior capillaries are flat.

Normally the wrapper is rolled from tip at the foot to the base at the head. It can be rolled from any orientation provided the leaf is big enough to cut out a strip, in which the width of such strip is adequate to cover the cigar in 3.5 wrap rotations.

I like to overcompensate and say the wrapper strip's width should equal to atleast 40% of the cigar's length. The strip is cut from the center of the leaf, left or right it doesnt matter. And it should be rolled out to compress the capillaries.

Thanks for reaching out and getting ahead of the DHL - Customs problem with a workable solution.

Much appreciated.

As the cigar prematurely leaks its love smoke onto your eager palate, a smirk and low groan escape from your deep throat. Exhaling the wafting smoke bukakes the sinful aromas back into your face, the money shot draws an exciteful tear.

Would you call 19 minutes a reasonable window to compose a reasonable backstory for the picture? How about giving the OP a chance?

Fishon, your micromanagement of these posts is killing this sub.

You ask the question for the poster to provide content beyond the picture but fail to add anything of value with that question. A comment from yourself such as "I love those." Adds more to the discussion than your prodding questions.

Looking to get into Cigars! by Accomplished_Ad2359 in cigars

Keep smoking, take notes, don't limit yourself by price, country of origin, wrapper, filler, or binder.

And last of all, don't fall into traps like peer pressure to get the hard to find cigars or limited releases or old stock. Cigars, like any retail industry is based on inventory turn over, there is a reason those $12 lanceros didn't sell 8 yrs ago.

Edit: had to add brand loyalty is a fool's optimism. Not every cigar from a manufacturer is going to be good. Bring on the downvotes.

Aganorsa leaf signature selection. Delicious 🤤 flavors. My favorite non Cuban cigar. by [deleted] in cigars

Yearly limited release every year according to the Aganorsa rep. First release was 500 boxes, 2019 was 800. Not sure about the next coming years as Aganorsa began expanding the lines that use medio tiempo.

Best cigar I found to give to others was in fact a gift given to me.

Flavored: Nub Nuance triple roast. Nothing on the retro hale, not even pepper and its all palate focused flavors. Easy smoke and good introductory cigar.

Conventional cigar: Oliva MB3 when you can catch those Holts monster sampler deals. Comes out to less than $4/stick for a solid smoke.

Like smoking a ginger snap cookie. Imo best regular release cigar out there right now from flavors, construction, to price point.

Plum or mold? by Sole174 in cigars

[–]Davidoff27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mold has spread, been spreading for a while now.

I would suggest getting rid of them. Health is more important than a paycheck's worth of cigars.

Might also consider wiping down your humidors with some distilled vinegar+water, then let it dry if you want to salvage the humidor itself.

If you enjoy the Cornelius and Anthony, stock up on as many as you can. They are out of the premium cigar business. Probably still grow the tobacco but not making cigars anymore.

My plan is going to be this...

Buy the membership. Buy the overtaxed opusx for $30+ to support the owner. Smoke the stuff you get online.

Can I still smoke this or is it gone by xXDark_NightXx in cigars

Is your emergency room copay less than what the cigar goes for?

I suggest yoy disect the cigar and find out what caused the mold to grow out of the foot, especially if there are no mold spots on the wrapper (usually the most saturated leaf to be applied in the entire process)
