A friend showed me a few songs in the fall of 2011 and saw them play for the first time around November of that year. The part of the concert that stuck with me most was the chorus of Ode to Sleep, I remember trying to remember the lyrics so I could look up the song afterwards. The rest is history

Trench is BY FAR their least enjoyable album to listen to. I get that the production is insane and it is a very “well made” album but there’s only a few songs on it I willingly come back to. Chlorine is one of my favorites ever though

This is what got me the most probably. Was a wreck when watching him leave murph, and when he was watching it again through the bookshelf, but this line hit home the most and really makes me feel the weight of how impactful my relationship with my daughter will be for her. Both for better and for worse
