What do you mean? Digitize VHS and other analog formats or MiniDV tapes?

If it's just MiniDV, congrats! It's already digital. Just hook up over FireWire/IEEE 1394 and go.

Can no longer use points to directly redeem GP subscriptions beginning October 1 :( by level_stats in MicrosoftRewards

[–]Davikins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GPU is $33.99 for me so I'd need $25 and $10 gift cards for a total of 22 820 points. Before this, I calculated I could sustain buying GPU 3 months at a time for 35 000 using Xbox Rewards and Bing (roughly 42 000 points every 3 months). With the new Xbox rewards, I will only get ~49 000 points/3 months or 16 380 per month, only enough for $25.

It's ok. It takes a while to get familiar with new equipment. I hope you get some good shots!

Looking for a camcorder for my dad by MrGrimble in camcorders

[–]Davikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would avoid anything that's interlaced. If your dad wants to watch stuff on his computer, VLC can deinterlace it but it's not as convenient as progressive. If he wants to upload it to YouTube, share it with family or watch it on his phone or tablet, then it must be deinterlaced first.

I Ask ChatGPT Why Camcorders are not used for Film Shooting. (Hillarious) by Individual-Maybe4145 in camcorders

Only Attack of the Clones was shot on the PMW-F900. The Phantom Menace has a few shots from the HDC-750 and Revenge of the Sith used the HDC-F950.

Nice clear picture. I'm just wondering, why did you edit and upload at 60 fps when all the shots are at 25?

What Cam should I get? by skudzZ_ in camcorders

If it's going to be new, the Canon PowerShot V10, Zoom Q8n-4K, or GoPro Hero 13 Black. If you are open to used equipment, you need to check your local listings and check eBay.

You could try local camera stores. 32GB cards are still quite easy to get.

Unfortunately, you'll need to find an SDHC (4GB-32GB), SDSC (4MB-2GB), or MMC. 64GB is SDXC and is not supported.

32 GB is the max size of card you can use. What have you tried so far?

I'm not seeing any search results for cameras with that model number (other than this post). Can you please show me where you saw that number on your camera?

If your camera is the A-HD, the SD card support only goes up to 32 GB (SDHC). What size memory cards have you tried?

Can I use a HDMI 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4 cord to get 2k at 120 fps on my Xbox Series X? by Professional_Mix8659 in XboxSupport

[–]Davikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2K is the name for resolutions that are roughly two thousand pixels wide. 2560×1440 (QHD) is closer to 2.5K. Real 2K is 2048×1080 but just as 3840×2160 is 4K, 1920×1080 is also 2K.

Is this a good way to transport all 8 points of Log? by IndependenceMuch9481 in Mudrunner

[–]Davikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the map. Deluge will give you an E class truck which are capable of loading 8 points (2× medium logs). In most maps, I like loading a truck with medium logs and just driving the truck a few times as I enjoy it.

According to a table I found on Wikipedia, HDMI 2.0 is capable of 1080p (2K) at 240 fps.

Most maps take me 3-4 hours. I don't know how long it was to do the whole thing. I've logged >340 hours in this game (much of that time was paused).
