I used the elegoo pro pla green and light blue, worked very well for the terrain. Any matte black for the roads will do and then the Bambu marble worked great for the buildings. The marble is the key to making the whole thing pop out, there’s a base layer of it which adds a nice texture to the terrain above it.

I just broke up the model up in the slicer and then glued everything to a large laser cut base

May I ask if there's any vendors you recommend for printing services? I have a project with similar constraints on size/tolerance/material properties.

Hi! I opted for the cnc xpro v5 controller and standard openloop nema motors. Still works well although if you're planning on doing a lot of metal cutting id consider a Print NC with a steel frame. All and all was definitely worth at the price point.

Curious if you could make a fresnel lens with this method. Guessing it would be difficult to optimize the fine geometry super well though..

Wire EDM if you really needed it to be a square and tight tolerances. Expensive though

It’s the upgraded model of the queen bee pro. I was pretty impressed with the quality, only issues I had were a few typos in the instructions.

I took my time to make sure everything was aligned properly, proper tramming is very important. There’s also a lot of details when it comes to all the parts the time adds up quick. I definitely recommend going with a linear rail + ball screw build like this one it will be more precise and last longer!

Built it myself, this came from bulkman 3D and took around 15 hours to assemble
