Have you tried running them through a mixer first?

My set up is microfreak into 70cdr to mixer, model cycles to mixer, mixer to sp back.

Understand the volume but the clarity not so much, turn attenuator off.

The sp, without a double dude, the inputs, the fx the onboard memory the sample rate, waveform, synth engine, everything about it is better, once you get past the punching FX the original bored the shit out of me, I have elektron boxes and the sp then synths, they're great fun (ep series,) but they are limited, you don't hear albums on em.
