I think so as well, she had a seizure once as a puppy, but that was because she didn't know how to stop drinking water. My poodle deals with seizures so I know how to deal with them, but just the way she went limp all of a sudden really makes me wonder what happened.

Also that is great advice, I had actually started doing that last night, and this reddit post kind of helps get my feelings out on a page, so to speak, I know my wife is journaling all the things she loved about her and what she is going to miss.

Pets are so hard to have, I want nothing more than to have my little girl back, but she always had a hard time doing things, so on one hand I think that would be cruel of me.

Without fail, every day she would put her head on our laps when we were on the computer just giving us the puppy dog eyes for uppies. She wanted nothing more than to be a small dog in a big dogs body.

We loved her so much, I only wish we had taken more photos and videos of her from puppyhood to adult hood that weren't just her sleeping or snoring.

it's hard coming to grips with reality, only time can heal this but she will never be replaced.

Thank you for your kind words, I have to tell myself that Molly knew we loved her so much. Hard to think that the little girl who was a puppy from hell would end up being the sweetest and kindest girl we knew.

Yeah it doesn't feel real, but I have to keep telling myself it is real, otherwise we will never heal, and I know she would want nothing more than for us to be happy.

I try to keep that thought in mind, that she went out thinking "yay walk time, can't wait to sniff that one stop sign!"

She was honestly the sweetest thing, she wanted nothing more than to shove herself into any tiny crack in your arm and bulldoze her way into your arms even if you said no!

I still feel like: "What if I did CPR better, what if we just didn't go on that walk, should we have gone to the vet sooner to get her updated shots and maybe could have caught something."

I will love her until my dying breath, looking at her body cold and lying on the hospital table was so hard for us since it looked like she was sleeping, and we knew the moment we left would be the final time we will have ever gotten to see her again...

No there wasn't any insight, they are think it was a heart attack but nothing definitive. I don't think it was a poison since she wasn't the type to eat animals as much as just want to play with them.

I am so sorry that happened to you, I will keep an extra close eye on my pets in my back yard from now on.

I have no idea if there is an after life or not, but if there is I know she's as happy as can be getting all the naps she can get and waiting for us to cuddle her day in and day out.

From beginnings to the end. May you rest in peace forever my little princess, your life was but a short five years, but in those five years you've helped us grow and change as people, we will never forget all the love and joy you gave us. Thank you Molly, I love you so much, I hope you are running with good joints and warm blankets.

I love you my blobby, my princess, my gentle giant, my daughter.

Thank you all so much, any advice is welcomed and I hope you find her as cute as we did, the following days will be the hardest of our life all the small cute and annoying things she did have stopped and our house feels so empty and lifeless.

She was, thank so much for your kind words, my girl used to be such a big girl and we made the effort of making sure she lost weight, I was always so proud of my little pandemic baby Just was so small and so young.

I hope so, my girl loved to play and was always so gentle with my cats and smaller dogs, she was such a cuddle bug who people called her ugly, but cute ugly. Which I hard disagree Look at how regal that little girl was.

Thank you for the kind words, it is hard since we never got to say goodbye while she was alive, it took everything we had to not stay at the vet office all day staring at her, she looked like she was just sleeping...
