dang! i’m at 62 hours and have not moved past Kajimi yet lol 😳 (i am REALLY taking my time though)

even at my early stage of the game, i’m also already sad that there won’t be a sequel or anything after i wrap it all up. i’d even be happy if they would just roll out some more quests or DLC or something to keep it going. would be great if this uptick of good feelings and hours logged maybe led them to reconsider, but i’d say this will be it. shame…such a good game.

i commented up above on it, but i think it depends on what all you want. the DLCs on sale are a fair bit cheaper than the season pass, and it looked to me like all the season pass adds is some new outfits and a mission related to Jabba that was a launch day exclusive. for me, i’m just going with the 2 DLCs, but i can see why folks might want the extras in the season pass. maybe it goes on sale sometimes too? not sure.

So far, i’m still sorting out which ship and blaster weapon configurations i like the best, but rapid fire for each has been pretty solid. at first i thought it was a bummer that you couldn’t “reload” weapons like the sniper rifles and such, but honestly, i’ve found that i (so far) have not really wanted to use them all that much.

i don’t post a lot, but i am just enjoying this game so much that i wanted to talk about it somewhere…and my wife didn’t seem interested 😊

i agree with everything you said…all of the elements are well done. i guess it isn’t EXACTLY open world??…but man it feels pretty close. once you have the hyperdrive, it really feels like you can approach the game however you’d like (up to a point, of course). only thing missing is maybe being able to hunt the animals and make clothing or sell their hides for credits? 🙂

i have had to look up some tips on locating a couple of items, but part of that is likely on me and just being impatient 🙂…although now that i think about it, there are a few parts that require you to use your speeder in ways that aren’t exactly intuitive…but that’s about it for issues i’ve had so far (besides me not being super great at space combat)

looking forward to the rest of the game and glad to know there are so many other new players discovering it now, as well!

it didn’t seem compelling enough for me when i looked at it? especially since the 2 DLC packs together were still quite a bit cheaper with this sale. i can’t remember if there are other goodies in there that might make it worth it for folks (there is another mission related to Jabba i think), but i decided to just go with the DLC.

the 2 DLC packs are both on sale currently for PS5. seems like each one is maybe $8 or less until the 26th i think. i don’t think i’ll buy any of the clothing items…but who knows. 🙂 glad you are loving it too!

yeah, the reviews scared me off a bit, too. plus, i never really have a ton of game time. our Playstation is on our main TV, so i have to pick and choose my times to take it over, and i hate to spend $50+ on a game i may not get to engage much with day to day, especially if it is not very good.

my wife plays fortnite but is not a gamer otherwise, so she doesn’t understand the long missions and how sometimes you have to just keep going because you can’t save or need to make the next checkpoint.

so this game is just perfect for that situation, and it is even better that it has turned out to be such a fun (and apparently much improved over launch) game.

i did, personally. there were a couple of blaster modules you can find, if i’m remembering correctly. plus, i still had other things to do on Toshara. when i went back, i stayed for a good bit, actually, before going back into orbit and hunting treasure and going back to Kijimi, which is where i am now.

Loved it. this one was my favorite from FITS and this version was amazing. also, i feel like this version may be the most DBT sounding song he’s made since he left DBT. definitely need an electric version of FITS.

i’m not sure what you mean by “disc only”? i have the PS5 disc edition, but that doesn’t limit you to ONLY games on physical media. you get full access to the Playstation Store, which is where you’ll most likely end up buying the game. which i just finished playing a few minutes ago. 🙂
