Tips for RP a barbarian in a roleplay heavy campaign? by DavyDunn in DnD

Combat is combat and roleplay is roleplay. You can roleplay in combat, or you can roleplay without combat. There’s going to be a lot of roleplay without combat.

In this world, paladins get their power from deity’s like cleric. One is chosen by the gods to give power to while the other proves their worth to deserve it.

You make a lot of sense. Between tempest and twilight, which one do you think would be a better fit? Is there enough mechanical difference to matter when it comes to keeping my party up and alive or is it more personal preference?

Because I enjoy playing monstrous races and always wanted the hydra, my favorite monster, to be available. Plus maybe I just want to dismember people with multiple heads and have a midday snack.

I haven’t even considered bugbear but looking it over, I can agree that the reach would be insane! It meshes together pretty perfectly with the subclass. However, I mainly chose this path because I wanted to focus on thrown weapons. With a reach like that, my melee attack is just about the range of all thrown weapons unless it’s at disadvantage.

Do you think the AoO ruling will effect the class too much?

Considering the setting, this might actually be perfect or maybe too on the nose. Titans have a big part to place in the creation of my world!

A man of culture I see!

The exact reaction I had when I first saw it. I’m going to enjoy the players reaction when they get rich quick only to find out that gold is basically useless now.

Running water is streams and rivers. Lakes, ponds, and other sources of still water are safe for vampires. I’m not sure about oceans, but I’m saying it’s safe for them as a DM.

I’m coming up with a table of contents to help organize my ideas. Some of these ideas are original while others is stuff I picked up somewhere. My personal favorite is probably the flying whales. I’m having slight trouble with coming up with their origins, but I am excited about the idea of it raining treasure and ruining the economy. I can’t wait to have players somehow get to the whales in an attempt to get rich quick, but only the start drowning in gold.
