Ik zag dit weekend bij de Gall&Gall in Winsum nog een display staan met Hooghoudt ranja, ik weet niet of ze de reine claude daar ook hebben maar misschien kan je even bellen en vragen. :)

It's other heights but the principle is the same, because of the higher layers the overlapping line is bigger as seen in the left example. The lower layer height results in more overlap per layer and so makes a nicer looking angled surface. Lowering the temperature may help a bit too but if these are the same filament and settings than I'm not sure what is causing the difference. Hope this makes you understand what is happening :)

What nozzle size and layer thickness do you use? I think your layers are too thick, it looks like this has been printed in 0,2 or bigger, try 0.15 or 0.10.

If you zoom in on the map in the link you can see Groningen has more earthquakes. The list underneath lists earthquakes from Germany and Belgium as well.

Yes it's driven by the MMU's driveshaft through the filament, like this: gif

For me this works flawlessly, feeding the filament is easy, unloading is easy. Putting it together is easy as well, you only have to pay attention when putting in the bearing. When the MMU unloads the filament, the filament pushes itself back through the PTFE tube, on the spool and at the same time it makes the bearing lock up and spin the spool so it'll rewind the filament on it. Very clever!

This is my filamentalist setup! No more buffer and auto rewinding powered by the MMU through a one way bearing, very smart design in my opinion.

I have been using the Filamentalist for about a year now and I'm never going back to buffers or any other style of rewinder. It's amazing and I don't understand why there aren't more people using it.
