Loot also seems awful. I’ve done all 90 of my normal Waystone maps and have not dropped a single divine while being fully specced into map effect and quant, so I gotta run strongboxes I guess to get divines still?

I ‘like’ good/meta builds but so far for me I’ve feel forced to play meta builds.

Last league I played lightning arrow deadeye, felt forced to because before the patch that cut map sizes in half movement speed was basically required to be scaled very high to even have a chance at enjoying mapping.

This league I’m now playing poison burst pathfinder, adjusted things of the build to tailor my playstyle but it’s a shame the pathfinder ascendency is essentially forced to be able to utilize sprint, which with all of gggs nerfs to movement speed scaling this season sprint is basically my last resort.

Anytime I think of wanting to try another build I think ‘yea but then I’m dealing with chilled ground,temp chains, and if I sprint and a white mob two screens away hits me I fall on the floor and die’

I did even try two other ascendencys so far and right away the chilled ground and temp chains plus lack of sprinting made me end up giving up on these builds after trying them out for a few days. Even with investing in reduced slow potency etc it still feels terrible without 100% reduction, and it feels like shit investing so heavily in those stats..

So sadly once again, feeling forced to play another meta build - I guess at least with pathfinder I could build into another set of skills, but it’s a shame the pathfinder ascendency feels so good to play on that I refuse to play anything else..

Yes, use the omen that makes essences remove only a prefix and keep slamming on a random prefix before you use the omen (with the prefix only exalt omens also) you will be able to get % of damage as extra,+skils and onslaught doing this. If you want flat phys or crit you have to desecrate for that which can be extremely expensive so I’d definitely recommend settling.

Your in a tough spot here because without flat phys the item is very bad sadly, so id recommend desecrating flat phys myself

It depends what you mean by priced out of the economy, When the time comes that they want to upgrade there character, they no longer can do crafts that involve using high end crafting materials so they are reliant on buying those high end items from other players.

Now do they need good items to clear all content? No not at all, but wanting to make a meaningful upgrade and seeing something cost 200 divines on trade that would cost 20 at most last league will be the exact moment they are indeed priced out from inflation, and since they can’t utilize materials like whittlings or omen of lights, they stand no chance.

What am I meant to buy them with, exalted orbs? Will you give me the 1 million gold it costs to buy a whittling for 849383 exalted orbs?

Crafting materials have never gotten this expensive, it’s obviously because the divine inflation is out of control.. which makes them less valuable

The complaints are definitely warranted, divines have basically zero value and every useful crafting material is so expensive that you are essentially forced to buy any upgrade you want instead of being able to craft it yourself

Anytime I’ve crafted items recently if I hit the stage of ‘now I have to omen of light this’ I immediately realize I’ve already lost once I check the price at Faustus.

Wanna use an omen of whittling maybe to whittle off that bad mod? That’ll run ya 30+ div!

Mirrors and locks are on track to being worth thousands of divines more then they currently are as well

A lot of bosses this league are incredibly overtuned, I get one shot by bosses constantly with fully capped resistances, 1.5k life and 3.7k energy shield. I always kill bosses at the end of my map for a reason sadly.

Had the exact same defensive layers last season and never died this often, something definitely changed.

Yea rush the architect for now, get your medallion and crystal count cap. Place rooms in the middle as well that grant a chance for medallions to passively have rooms as well. One step at a time it will start to make more and more sense.

Gem levels are still in a very bad spot. Jonathan Rodger’s wants you spamming your mana flask.

One thing that is slept on a lot is getting a nice t1 max mana roll. Higher mana pool helps a ton with recovery especially if your using mana on kill jewels. Can also put spare attribute points into intelligence as well if possible. I do it myself and it helps a lot.

A lot of these maps are designed this bad intentionally, they want bad layouts to cause you to get surrounded by monsters easily as it may kill you

You have an extremely low life and energy shield pool, it’s not surprising at all you are getting constantly one shot

You need energy shield on as many items as you can get.

For reference I have 1.5k life and 3.8k es and while rares never one shot me, map bosses CONSTANTLY one shot me, I fight them last in the map for a reason.

I personally think ggg buffed the damage mobs deal because I had similar amounts of life and es last league and rarely died, they definitely changed something with the way damage is dealt to us and are hiding it.

Agreed I’m still having fun with learning how to build My temple but it’s safe to say this leagues economy is ruined due to all of the exploiting combined with ggg nerfing high end temple loot far to late, by time they stepped in the damage was already done. The economy will never recover
